from the Daily Mail...Metal barriers and traffic wardens have been brought in to manage crowds around the new Bansky artwork that was painted on a Welsh garage.

The graffiti mural appeared overnight on a garage wall in Port Talbot, South Wales, and has since been under 24 hour guard from local volunteers.

More than 4,000 people are expected to descend on the suburban town this weekend to catch a glimpse of the artwork, which lies just off the M4 .

And Hollywood star Michael Sheen has paid thousands of pounds to help protect the latest Banksy mural - which was painted in the actor's hometown

Mine had a lot of that too, and I notice the rat w/black square in the set above has some in the top right corner too. It's a shame as I love the set otherwise.

I know imperfections are par for the course based on previous NB / NNB editions, but this just looks a bit... naff. 

I bought one of the editions on card and am waiting for it to arrive. Really hope that doesn't have the same issue too:s

If it's printed without any passion other than for financial return don't be surprised if the result is not great. That mark is called a 'halo' effect or 'ghosting'. It's where the paint on the screen has not pulled away from the print properly. There can be various factors which can cause this, the first thing to try is to increase the 'snap', the resting distance from the screen to the paper. Then thin the paint / medium mix by adding more medium. Make sure your materials are fresh and the tops not left off. Then finally don't print in a warm environment, it'll make you paint sticky and dry your screen.

Received mine, not as bad as the one pictured above but definitely printed carelessly; also the paper doesn't seem to be a good one for screenprinting.

Good find, but i'm not going to read the descriptions and warnings of all prints.

I do realize i'm buying a cheap print. Fingerprints, fine. Smudges, no problem. I would frame it and hang it. What i got now is just ugly. And doing something really bad doesn't make you a vandal or hooligan, it just makes you really suck at what you do.

Anyway. I bought a cheap print. They screwed up. I'll live.

I've read that statement before, and have other L-13 prints including the Emphatic Denial Non-Resurrection Anniversary Edition they released in the Summer.

The Emphatic Denial was damaged, on flimsy creased paper and I really liked it. It had that authenticity / DIY feel that their website blurb refers to. They also posted a warning on the listing that this would be the case IIRC.

In the case of the Black Squares, they just look flat out defective. I was looking forward to hanging them (ok, maybe not the bunny one) but they're going in the archive now:(

The defects are part of the project. It seems like these are an easy resell at cost to those who missed out if one is unhappy with their purchase.

There are about 50 different coloured ones, if I counted correctly :-) And why I want one of those? Good question. I don’t know! I just like them.
