Whatson/Pez colab, by qest on Aug 24, 2018 16:09:59 GMT 1, I considered entering the lottery. Then I wondered to myself what I would pay for one of these if I found one in a thrift shop, without knowing anything about the artists. I decided not to enter the lottery.

Whatson/Pez colab, by happy go lucky chap on Aug 24, 2018 17:50:02 GMT 1, Here's my breakdown of the Behind The Curtain variants. My perspective is definitly one of a Pez fan first and foremost. A Whatson enthusiast sure, but definitly a big Pez fan. ''Pixel'' and ''Back To The Future'' are my favorites. Classic Pez imagery. They work perfectly with the guy pulling the curtain concept. ''Movements'' is also excellent. It's fun and clever. Very much Pez for that. It should be a popular one. ''Decay'' is pretty good, ties well with his Distroy series, but yet doesn't feel as original as the other 3 above. I would have been on the fence for this one, but probably would have grabbed it as a consolation prize. ''The Wall'' is a little under average per Pez standards. It's the only one I would have passed for sure, had I won the lottery. Pixel is also my favourite, The Wall would be my second choice, can't decide on the others. That's what makes art so subjective, beauty being in the eye of the beholder, and all that..

Whatson/Pez colab, by rambo901 on Aug 25, 2018 0:39:10 GMT 1, Considering the amount of folk not liking these prints I'm surprised I didn't get anything. Oh well. As with everyone else the alter ego was my fave but I'm not paying second hand immediate mark up on it. Really? They probably got thousands of entries with only 165 prints total.. realistically, chances to score weren't better than 1/10 at the very best.. probably more like 1/50. A few folks voicing their opinion here means absolutely nothing to the broad following these artists have. Not to mention how some of them sounded sour about the price tag more than anything else.
But I normally go all in on those odds haha

Price isn't that big of an issue when you think you can make double your money back. Artists and galleries are getting wiser. They're going to get flipped, make some money from that too. Which I'm completely OK with.

Not an issue for someone looking for a quick flip. That person hopes to fill the hole in his bank account sooner rather than later. Probably not an issue for an experienced and long time collector either.. but for the every day guy following on Instagram, who liked the image thinking it would look nice in his apartment, maybe his monthly budget didn't allow him to drop £1500 on a piece of paper.

Price is an issue if flipping isn’t your first thought and you just want it to put on your wall. I didn’t enter the lottery as I didn’t like the image. Would be interesting to know just how many people only entered as they believe it could be worth the double you also believe it would be worth. I thought the release price was to high for the image so good luck to anyone that thinks it’s worth double.

Whatson/Pez colab, by tranito on Oct 13, 2018 18:36:08 GMT 1, They will start appearing soon enough. Just realised, it's the old one. Not sure if the lottery has anything to do with it or if the price tag did deter some flippers, but it looks like people are keeping these for the collection right now. Almost 2 months down the road and only 1 out of 150 BTC collab on ebay, no Alter Ego. Great job getting these in the right hands. Now, I need a ''Back To The Future'' for the collection. My ''Pixel'' needs company!
