Printing the giclée is still the most expensive part of the process in term of equipment needed.
An 11 colours inkjet plotter costs few thousands. Each colour cartrige about 100 for 150ml of ink. Paper costs in the case of Diasec are cheaper because you don't really need expensive archival paper since it's sandwitched forever between dbond/plexy.
So technically yes, a giclée is an "inkjet print on paper you could run off at home" but realistically don't have that equipment at home. Setting up a 3-4 colours screenprint on the other hand is a LOT cheaper....

The fact it's been patented and trademarked, and there are very few companies licensed to sell Diasec products all around the world, surely make it more expensive, if you want the "original" Diasec rather than a surrogate unlicensed mounting method, that still probably archieve very similar results.

If you can’t make it then you can contact Tate Edit via editions@tate.org.uk. You can ask to be added to their list to receive the registration form. It seems to be ran in the same way as the H4 release.
