Not a problem. I was just offered the fragile canvas about three weeks ago that was displayed at Dismaland for 65k from POW. How's that?

Pow are sneaky buggers, they have tons of unsigned and signed prints (not talking one of each I mean stacks) that are stated sold out years ago but they weren't really sold out. Now they (Simon) are selling them off for eBay prices + vat. Banging them out too. I was offered pretty much every print he's ever done from them recently . Wonder how much more manipulation the banksy print market can take. People Paying stupid prices for unsigned will be the first burnt.

I don't disagree and I didn't buy the canvas but just pointing out that when you can get originals for 20k less than people are trying to flog prints for something is out of whack. Plus POW were just selling the editions GWB for 35k so not sure where 85k would come from. Maybe a third of that.

Well you're just changing the argument. I'm not hear to have an economics conversation just to provide information. You questioned whether there are original banksy's available for the price I indicated, there are, whether or not you perceive that piece as better or worse than a GWB is besides the point.

Fair play eschiff . I couldn't imagine an original image at that price.

I have to disagree with @diz - if that's going from source at £65k including any VAT then I think it's a good deal considering its heritage.

When I last heard (just before the GWB editions) POW didn't have any red signed original GWBs so they've either been buying them up or creating new ones. I find it incredibly hard to imagine that they would be signed 'Banksy '04' by the artist in 2015, so the only solution appears to be that they've been bought at a higher price privately and are being sold much cheaper by POW. And, in the words of one of my old rugby coaches… "that don't make no sense."

I've only ever seen red from primary that was sourced via the secondary market. Many artists dating back decades sell out portions of editions at one point in time and hold back some of the edition for future sales so that's nothing new; it's prudent business.

I really don't believe they have much, if any left, of the old classic signed 150s like RC, barcode, gwb, chuckers that have not yet been sold. Whenever I've asked they've always been upfront about which images were sourced over secondary and those logically come at a steeper premium reflecting the higher acquisition costs. They've been nothing but professional with me, good luck in your search.

Slightly different scenario but I had a few pieces in the David Bowie exhibition at the V&A and I know that David Bowie has always hoarded and kept all his stuff 'knowing' that one day it may be worth a lot of money. He has tons of stuff hoarded away from his very early days to present day. Maybe someone else had the same idea? Had they held 10 signed gwb's back in 2004, they would now be worth over half a million pounds, doesn't take much thinking about!! I recently got offered £64k for mine and turned it down. Does that mean it's worth more than that it or does it mean I'm mad, who knows??

Hello everyone, I am selling my Banksy, "Girl with Red Balloon" signed and dated print, in order to fund another purchase. The image that is my icon is the actual print.

Details:
The print is in immaculate condition. The print has never been framed, so there are no markings (tape or glue residue) on the back. The edges are sharp, and the print as a whole does not have any wrinkles, or markings. Needless to say, I believe it truly is in mint condition. I do have the Pest Control in hand and multiple photos of the print and COA will be provided upon request for serious inquiries. I prefer to have the print picked up in person so that you may inspect it yourself, but I will post worldwide with Flight Logistics fully insured.
