Banksy Soup Can Print, by tomhills1 on Mar 18, 2007 11:28:02 GMT 1, LW Grin Reaper sold earlier today for £3k as a buy it now... it went after only 20 hits!!! another on for £3k start.... its quality being recognised at last!!!!
:othat's some scary sh*t. i agree it's quality, it must have something to do with the fact there haven't been many up lately? the most i've seen one go for is £2800 on a buy it now after it had been up for about a week in january. i make 3k a record, have lukeandsuzy still got theirs up for £3300? can't see that shifting but then again i'm a bit surprised 3k has been broken.

What a complete @ hole! As if scamming a person once wasn't enough, he has to go do it over and over again. He sold 76/250, 77/250, and now 37! The nerve of this guy!

First of all, what are the most desirable colors for the colored soup can prints?
Second of all, does this listing appear legit? I watched it go because I don't think you can have any type of insurance when buying from Italy.
Third of all, what are these pieces worth? They are a very low edition sizes, but so many colors (25 or something right?).

Banksy Soup Can Print, by poofly on Jul 24, 2007 15:33:44 GMT 1, Most desirable colours? I don't think there are any.
The original colours were done as an A/P, ed of 10, signed
ed of 50 signed
ed of 250 unsigned.
All other colours were done as editions of 10 in 28 different colours, all signed.
Last prices for the editions of 10 were about £8000, I'd expect A/P's to be worth more maybe 12-14k?
Don't see any problem with buying from Italy...

What? Is that a fair swap?
Anyways, it looks like if what you were saying is true then this person got a good deal.

Banksy Soup Can Print, by Paul on Jul 24, 2007 19:24:04 GMT 1, sorry, re-read my post and its a bit gobbledy gook. i have the photo-op original that i want to swap for something, like a signed banksy/micallefs/neates etc, not an edition of 750 photo-op for a soup can, that would have been deal of the century! anyways, here it is...

Banksy Soup Can Print, by samba on Mar 16, 2007 15:23:09 GMT 1,
I saw the post in here a while ago from the artist who was selling these prints. The image although a little bit over used IMO is very well done. But it is unlikely this piece would get the attention of some of the other well known artists in the mix right now (Banksy, Dolk, Faile etc). But your right if that was a Banksy soup can canvas (not sure it exists) I bet it would go for over 20k.

I've never heard of one apart from the fact that it is listed on the original work thread on this site. Ok hands up who's got one!?

It's hardly an obscure canvas... it featured quite prominently at Crude Oils
I think an edition of 10, but don't hold me to that.

Banksy Soup Can Print, by dgb133 on Jul 4, 2007 19:09:41 GMT 1, Was bid up to $12,000 all of a sudden then the owner ended listing early. Sorted it out in a private transaction? Good feedback, looked fine to me although the last two signed soup cans I think went for less than $12k? I think. So maybe fishy?
Now here's one that sounds fishy. This soup can, exact same picture was on the bay a month ago at 1300 GBP. Now it's on again listed for 2499 GBP
Ridiculous. I'm telling you if this summer isn't the peak of Banksy mania... Prices double in one month? Greed is getting to folks. At 1300 I was considering it but passed. at 2500 it's a no brainer. Absolutely not buying this.
Old auction: cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=001&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&viewitem=&item=110134624744&rd=1&rd=1 View sellers other items for new auction. Wonder why the buyder din't buy this at 1350? Not that that was even a great price. Amazing

Just wanted to know what members thought of this item.
Given these tend to go upwards of £5k now it doesn't seem to be attracting much attention.

Banksy Soup Can Print, by psp500 on May 28, 2007 10:15:35 GMT 1, I just don't understand people who sell stuff like this (as in art prints which should fetch such high amounts) without any photos, close-ups, photos of provenance. It's like they aren't really that bothered if they sell it, which is discouraging because you might think a) it's fake, b) the seller is sooooo arrogant that he has this print he can afford not to give any good info, prepare an accurate description
Sorry mini rant there

Banksy Soup Can Print, by mydeaddogwontwoof on May 28, 2007 10:30:05 GMT 1, Looking at sellers other items, isn't the big Dan Baldwin politics canvas the one that jan has art has had for sale for the last few weeks with a 20k price tag?, have enquired about picking this up and paying cash & no response (it has also disappeared from jan has art's completed listings), might be a different canvas, but smells a little fishy to me!
