Agree, this is one of his best prints!

Agree, this is one of his best prints! we dont have a pre order list said it many times
we emailed fin's small list of friends and special collectors, then we emailed all the people who had emailed us about the print.
we did some insta photos when he was up hand finishing them, all the email we got from that were stored and we sent a pre order email to all those people.
that way we only email people who are interested and don't spam anyone.

I am interested and would pre order, sorry I didn't ask about the print so now I am apparently not as interested and have a smaller chance to buy a piece i have waited months for.
If you want everyone to message you about every print in order to be noticed as interested in order to make your releases fair for all, then we can all oblige.
Surely everyone interested will buy at release, if people are not interested they won't buy it. Those asking and hoping for a presale are probably those most likely to flip as they want to increase the chance to buy one. Those who love his work will pay the flipped price as they love it.
Not sure GP have their priorities right.
Also just messaged them about a way to buy prints for free on their site and they jusy said "no idea what youre on about" without even testing it and thanking me... and as we all know people use bots to buy their releases as they are using shopify and bots are easy to come by for shopify.
Could build a fairer and bot free store myself if anyone is interested.

If this is news to you, then now you're aware for future releases.
I, and many other collectors here and elsewhere, have taken part in pre-sales through GP and have sold ZERO of those prints, so don't make bold assumptions about the collector base purchasing via pre-orders.
There's more of a correlation between bot users being flippers vs. pre-sales buyers, hence GP's ongoing battle against the bots.

Totally agree -if you haven’t taken time to learn how GP has done it for years -then that’s on you -bought many prints pre sale and not once flipped a one -I would bet that most that do pre sale do not flip -think thats Kind of the point -get the most in hands of people that actually collect -before flippers and bots try their luck on the drop

Fin Dac "Shinka", by galaxy01 on Apr 16, 2018 19:05:06 GMT 1, All I was saying is it is easy to be bot free. But GP have not tried else they wouldnt be using a hosted shopify. Nor have they used more secure captcha methods. It can be a bot free and fair playing ground if they want.
I have also only been collecting for a few months, so yes, GP releases are new to me. Does not mean we should all just accepts thats how it is, when it can be improved.
Youve just said some collectors like you are fine as you have used presale, but collectors who dont should just accept how it is. Glad you find it ok like that..
Some collectors struggle and its those people who it is unfair on

Fin Dac "Shinka", by soupysound on Apr 16, 2018 19:12:11 GMT 1, if you have only been collecting for a few months... then one thing you need to learn is that no matter what GP (or any other artist/publisher) does, they will never please everyone. same thing happens with OBEY drops. people will always complain about something (drop time, presales, unannounced drops, announced drops, etc). simple fact of the matter is demand far outweighs supply. GP has always gone above and beyond to try to get prints into the hands of fans & collectors (far moreso than a lot of other publishers/artists).

Fin Dac "Shinka", by artfan2011 on Apr 16, 2018 19:30:09 GMT 1, The Whatson drops appear to be different though, if you email asking for a pre-order on those, the reply is always, "we dont have a pre-order" list, still 25-30% get sold an prior to release to what is seemingly the same list of people?
I think anyone who believes that those who pre-order do not re-sell is a being a little blinkered - Like many, I miss virtually every drop GP does, and never get the Whatson prints - thankfully many of those on the "pre-order list", "VIP list", "previous customer list", "friends and family list" whatever you want to call it are more than happy to sell there print for a nice profit pre-drop.
Despite the fact it made it hard for all, I liked the way the last drop was done, it would of eliminated 75% of the BOT`s, just leaving the more advanced ones to hoover up a few prints, it gave others a chance, although it sure was mighty confusing. Now we know how what the drops will look like, hopefully I can pick one of these up when they are released.

Fin Dac "Shinka", by nighthawk on Apr 16, 2018 20:38:55 GMT 1, Here we go again!
galaxy01 Besides being an awesome dude, GP has been instrumental in getting "street art" out to the masses. Because of him, and others like him, there's now the first ever "street art museum" in Berlin, and many more urban art fairs, solely dedicated to these artists, and their craft (that we all love so much), all over the world!
They (GP) pretty much have selling, and shipping (very important) down to a science, and are genuinely active in tracking down those who try to flip their prints immediately. People will always complain because they pre-sell some to loyal collectors, but truly, there isn't a gallery/artist/publisher on the planet who doesn't. Hats off to them...I can't name anyone, who is as good in ALL areas of promoting and selling, as they are!!
Back to this FinDac; it's a beauty! Happy to see him progress, and evolve his style a bit here.
Would love to see this one as a print one day:

Fin Dac "Shinka", by NYart on Apr 17, 2018 1:02:38 GMT 1, The reason Shopify is used despite its vulnerabilities is because of its stability. Remember that DFace release, how about invader LED? Much more frustrating than bots scoring a couple IMO. GP goes above and beyond to make things as fair as possible, my first print purchased through them was via preorder, it’s not exclusive.

I'm sorry but this just aint true!
I messaged Fin the moment i sore his Insta vid come up (whilst he was in your studio) and was advised by him that he had passed on my e-mail to you guys and you would be in touch in regards to being able to purchase one of the prints.
Suffice to say that i received no such e-mail. I guess you've gotta know the secret hand shake or sumthin eh!

Fin Dac "Shinka", by Graffiti Prints on Apr 17, 2018 18:11:02 GMT 1, we dont have a pre order list said it many times we emailed fin's small list of friends and special collectors, then we emailed all the people who had emailed us about the print. we did some insta photos when he was up hand finishing them, all the email we got from that were stored and we sent a pre order email to all those people. that way we only email people who are interested and don't spam anyone. I'm sorry but this just aint true! Suffice to say that i received no such e-mail. I guess you've gotta know the secret hand shake or sumthin eh! fin has 3 lists, first & being top supporters over the years (originals), friends and family.
we emailed that list first.
then previous buyer of prints who are in touch with him, we emailed that list with our list of emails second.
then the last list is people who have been in touch with him in regards to this print & others, by far the longest list, so big if everyone wanted a pre order the edition would not fill it.
we had sold all pre orders by the first two lists so i assume you must be on the third list.
we have said no mainly all day to people emailing from original pre order email or from looking at threads like this.
we can not make everyone happy with pre orders but we do try and make it fair collecting emails each release not some mythical golden ticket pre order list.
we too small a company punching way above our weight to have a list like that, way too un organised etc.
we spend most of our time making prints / artist work then packing prints, probably 90% of our time goes on those two things.
