Banksy Grannies Print, by LJCal on Mar 5, 2020 17:25:03 GMT 1, I think that is a touch optimistic. I would say you are looking at £10k. There is one for sale at 12,000 euro through a gallery. One hammered at Forum in Jan for £7.5k which is £10k all in with fees. Tate Ward had one up for sale a few weeks back with a £9k reserve but the lot was passed. I think you'd be over paying if you pay more than £10k privately.

just kidding Banksy rules!
Good luck with your search.
We are in a recession, heading into a depression so I imagine some collectors will be needing to sell art to buy necessities so keep on the look out....

Banksy Grannies Print, by LJCal on May 27, 2020 15:24:03 GMT 1, Still waiting for the panic selling to start and right now there is less available than at the start of the year and prices have definately moved up very fast. Seems people are flocking to established artists as a safe haven and dumping some of the up and coming guys whilst sellers are holding off offering prints. I'm not holding my breath about cheap Banksy prints in the near future, saying that £10k for Grannies is 100% doable. I know of one that sold a few days back for 12,000 euro so just over £10k, just a question of being patient. The one in Chiswick is a high starting bid so I'm not convinced it will sell, may be worth approaching them post auction if it passes - check if it has pest control certificate though as no mention on description.

Agreed. The starting bid is way too high.lets not make the mistake tate ward did with there evaluations . If you cant sell a banksy at an auction your with the wrong auction house !

Or your price expectations as a seller are unrealistic. With all consigners we give our opinion on the correct estimate to put on the work. Ultimately the mkt decides. Our next sale is 24th Jun look out for the next set of works coming to mkt. The fact there’s only 2 Banksy’s included in that sale tells its own story.

Banksy Grannies Print, by mrizzle on Jun 17, 2020 11:25:42 GMT 1, In any event, I would urge you to seek the COA from Pest Control. It’s not a terribly difficult process and absolutely worth doing. It’s made much easier by you being the sole owner of the print too. I believe they’re in the process of redesigning the COA but, as you’re in no rush to part with it, you might as well start the process.
Hope that doesn’t come across as condescending in any way - sometimes hard to judge the tone in a written context but that’s not how it’s intended! Just based on my own personal experiences, it’s well worth doing.

The main two markets have been America and England , all the shows and pr publicity geared towards those markets , now global art markets now taking on banksys works , the print market will gain quickly , if the world recession does not effect banksys print market may well see flags at 20k end of next year

Banksy Grannies Print, by eyectopus on Jun 27, 2020 21:02:59 GMT 1, Both have have issues with condition also.
Grannies: "Generally in good condition except minor dot-shaped dirt marks on the upper right and lower left side. Pale fox mark in the center."
Golf Sale: "Good. The back of the work is attached to the mount with tape. We do not open the forehead for inspection."
I am assuming that the Golf Sale condition is due to it being framed, so may not be to much of an issue if properly framed.

Banksy Grannies Print, by Charlie Bronson on Jun 28, 2020 3:18:33 GMT 1, Stock market still super high, housing market ridiculously high, art selling for record prices. How does this make any sense considering what’s going on right now? If I remember correctly, didn’t this also happen right before everything crashed in 2008? I swear I remember everything from the stock market, to homes, to cars and art being really high right before the crash.

People paying 22k for a piece of paper aren’t effected by what’s going on in the world.
The market is no longer full of people who were paying 500 quid for a print, those guys have sold out and paid some of their mortgages off and good luck to them.
The B market ( and still infant ) is for the rich now, simple as that.
