Banksy Grannies Print, by markw99 on Apr 4, 2007 12:03:07 GMT 1, Thanks, paying £500-£550 would be ok-ish. I suppose I'll just have to wait for others to become available. Is ebay the best place to look?

Other than that you're looking at ebay!

Banksy Grannies Print, by markw99 on Apr 4, 2007 12:10:31 GMT 1, I was keeping an eye on ebay for a Grannies print over the last few weeks, but held off under the silly belief that I might get a Morons print from POW. As that didn't happen I think I'll have stump up £600 and try and buy one. I guess if I'm lucky enough to buy one, the number of it isn't that important? or is it?

Banksy Grannies Print, by bond on Apr 4, 2007 12:26:04 GMT 1, hi , i'd say £ 600 is the absolute top at the moment for unsigned grannies, they went up to £ 700 after first released but that's usual in the initial panic to get hold onf a missed print.
Same thing will prob happen with Morons , the first to sell will go for the most cash and then i reckon they'll come down sharply
I would'nt be at all suprised to see Morons selling for around £ 400 unsigned as i suspect an awful lot were bought to sell on immediately.
;D

Banksy Grannies Print, by dmandpenfold on Apr 4, 2007 12:59:46 GMT 1, i picked up Grannies on ebay for GBP485 sometime after the POW sale, so it might be an idea to wait a little, avoid the rush for prints and let the price settle down.

Banksy Grannies Print, by markw99 on Apr 4, 2007 14:40:33 GMT 1, £500 sounds a bit more reasonable, £485 sounds a relative bargain, not as cheap as the original POW price, but still. The one currently on ebay has a buy it now price of £650 and the seller said he bought it for that price. He may be online here of course! But if the market values are around the £500 mark, will certainly wait and see what comes up in the future.

Banksy Grannies Print, by budoukiba on Apr 4, 2007 15:03:16 GMT 1, I think that unsigned Banksy's such as morons and grannies will gradually go up in price. Signed Banksy's are getting rediculous now and more and more people will not be able to afford them, so will opt for unsigned (like myself). This will take a while because of all the baggers but once the amount of each unsigned on ebay becomes minimal (like we have seen with BME, etc) and the price of a signed increases even more, the unisgned prints will go up and up. Not sure what the timescale of this may be but i reckon by the end of the year unsigned LA prints will be going for closer to 1K.

Banksy Grannies Print, by tomhills1 on Apr 4, 2007 18:42:59 GMT 1, patientce is the key. oh, and watch the auctions and try and nip in at the end if it's still reasonable. i find when gauging what my limit is to pay, think of it like this: if it did not rise at all in value, or even dropped say 10%, would you be happy to pay what is being asked? i was gonna pay up to £500 for flags and was over the moon to pay £430. took a couple of weeks of watching and resisting the urge to splurge but was worth it. oh, and don't bid drunk. someone on here did and bought a log

Banksy Grannies Print, by sausageboonwee on Apr 4, 2007 22:55:01 GMT 1, I had a similar conversation with a gallery when I was offered a print 100/100. I just thought it was quite nice. I do own a No1 of 150 of a different artist and though I appreciate there is no additional value it's just a nice thing to have as they don't seem to come about that often.

Banksy Grannies Print, by ThursdayFeeling on Apr 4, 2007 22:55:06 GMT 1, I've seen some printers proofs floating around on ebay awhile back, a set of LA prints.
Not sure what happened to these, they were expensive though.

i dont think they were that much maybe 16K US for the set. seems like a bargain though most people prefer the POW prints....right?

Banksy Grannies Print, by Cocteau 101 on Jan 10, 2007 0:53:17 GMT 1, I have a spare unsigned Grannies for swap. I paid £525 if not a bit more for this but just bought a set of LA prints so rather than hoard it away would rather do a swap deal. Open to swaps - anyone any ideas! Also would consider a Micallef JD. Please pm me

Unfortunately Daniel, your grannies is closer in value to an unsigned pulp dvd than an it is to unsigned pulp print. I would try offering your grannies for say a VM (if you're lucky) or a rat perhaps. You may also get an applause given the size/framing cost.

Anyone want my grannies?
Pretty weak print in my opinion. some people really like it but I don't get it, no powerful message for me.
anyone see something in it, try and excite me.....
..... and before someone jumps on and says... well why did you buy one when others out there who really want one missed out....... the answer is
"because I would prefer to have one than not"

It's really come down to this, hasn't it? Buying a print for the sake of the print and not the image on it?
Not a personal dig at you aimless (at least you didn't flog it for silly money!)... just an observation of how things have become. Pretty upsetting to the long-time genuine fans, I would say.

I think it is a slightly different situation with the Grannies print. I bought it with the full intention of putting it up on my wall. I had only seen it on the POWs website which doesn't have the best facilities for viewing prints. When it actually arrived I didn't really like it as much as I thought I would... It's just too pink to go up on my walls. With the new Banksy prints on POW you have to make a decision in like 3 seconds or you might not get it.
I am now holding on to mine in the hope of trading it for another print that I like more.
I did get an Applause which I absolutley love - it's currently at the framers. Ready a week on Saturday ;D

Banksy Grannies Print, by streetgirl on May 29, 2007 18:46:21 GMT 1, Looking for an original Grannies, signed or unsigned. No bother, my partner wants it badly enough not to care. As with my mode 2 hunt, I have nothing to swap, except body parts, and realising this may be of more value than a mode 2, I will offer legs as oppose to arms.
