Dear board members,

Tonight, Thursday, 7th of December, Pretty Portal Gallery will open the last show for this year.

On display are artworks from internationally known Pixelpancho and Guy Denning, plus some works from ARDIF, a young french artist who is becoming more and more popular in Paris. The shown pieces are all drawings, made with pencil, ink, coal and markers.

Hey everyone, been a while but as I was encouraged to pay a visit thought I’d introduce an emerging artist that has become incredibly popular in Paris.

Ardif has only been active In the streets for about 18 months, he’s a qualified architect and managed to bring together his passion for nature, buildings, machinery and art to create his ‘mechanimals’

His work is incredibly detailed and complex, taking up to a week to complete each piece. He then scans the originals to create his paste-ups and spread them around the City. Placement and choice of building plays a big part in his work and they really work well in the urban setting.

He will be at Upfest this year with his good friend and fellow Artist, Matt Tieu and is just about to open his first solo-show in Paris with La Cabinet D’Amateur

He’s actually a great guy, we’ve become friends and I already have one original piece by him.

He’s definitely worth checking out, the new show opens tomorrow night and I hope to see him in London soon

it was a great show and Le Cabinet was a very nice venue for his work. 

To my knowledge, all but 2 pieces had sold in opening night although Le Cabinet were also taking commissions. 

There'll also be a print release of one of the images very soon.

Cheers for the heads up 11. Happened to be in Paris so picked up both these prints - really intricate and impressive in the flesh. Reckon this guy could go places. Only one per person so couldn’t pick any up for anyone here but Pretty Portal are going to be releasing half the tiger edition on the website soon for anyone interested

I know he has already been inundated with new work so has a bit of a backlog but he does have some smaller sized prints that he produces as editions of 8, including hand coloured or pasted on wood.

We are happy to release ARDIF´s screen print "Tiger Mechanimal"
Paste-ups of ARDIF´s drawings can be found everywhere in Paris, but also in London Shoreditch and other cities. In a very short time he gained a huge awareness in the urban art scene, leading to a sold out show in Paris last month.

"Tiger mechanimal" is a screen print on hand moulded paper. The first 15 prints were sold at Urban Art Fair in seconds. The 30 remaining prints will be released on Tuesday 8th of May, 4pm(CET) at shop.prettyportal.de

This Thursday, 8th of November, Pretty Portal will release ARDIF´s latest screen print "Chimpanzee Mechanimal".

ARDIF is a french urban artist who deals with mechanics behind living entities. His drawings mostly present animals, which become mechanical beings. ARDIF’s animals are divided indeed: While the one side is completely natural, the second half portrays a transformation with mechanical and architectural elements.

Last May we released his first screen print "Tiger mechanimal", which was sold out in seconds.
In the last 6 month he travelled to London and New York, to install various interventions in public space and had two sold out shows in Paris. Last month he visited us in Düsseldorf to work on his latest screen print "Chimp Mechanimal", and pasted numerous artworks in the streets, which delighted citizens, newspaper and German television.
