Yes, its a great Banksy image but those prints are shall we say not to the highest quality

Agreed, I have seen 2 very dodgy ones with grey horizontal bars running through them, at the very least view the actual print before bidding!

I think everyone knows about the one at Bonhams this week already, I already know of a few members here and in the other place that are going to have a bid. Judging by recent strong results I think this could end up over 10k...... Well that's me out!

As for the quality, I agree it is pretty poor. Earlier prints than this are much sharper, does anyone know the reason behind CWSB not being? Eine off on holiday? Pulled on a Sunday morning after a massive bender? etc!!!!

Having seen several of these in public and private collections, I would have to agree with Kennas' point above. I personally think this is a great image, but unfortunately the paper on these prints really lets it down badly and it's quite small.

Casper, you were very lucky to have a mint one as a couple of the ones I saw appeared to have faded over time....if I were you I'd see if your buyer wants to sell it back to you!

Even the mint ones I've seen are very 'pixelated'. I love the image, just IMO the execution is poor.

similar story to caspars, i sold mine to fund another and regretted it immediately.
mine was also immaculate in quality,
that said, i have seen two or three with print flaws,
a print certainly near to the pile imo,
and one on which i'll be bidding on too.

I'd go up to 7.5K + premiums on it.

CWSB has always been a big favourite of mine. I remember being slightly disappointed when I first saw one in real life but have to say it's still my all time favourite Banksy image and not so concerned about quality, as that's part of the charm of early Banksy's for me.

Anyone have a idea on the going price at the moment on Christ With Shopping, also what is the print like, ( haven't seen one in the flesh )

The quality of the image is a bit "iffy" and blocky.

Great imige though and classic print.

Last to sell at an auction was Bonhams UK in Oct 08 and fetched over 17000 USD, next went unsold at Bonhams US in Nov 08 at 30 - 40000 USD (no surprise there then), course all that was 2 years ago so means naff all now! dont know why i said all that really.

I think CWSB and radar rat seem to sell around the same price, or they certainly were a few years back

Ha, my first house cost about 700GBP, could have bought the whole street for that then!, daft prices these days for sure.

Last one on eBay sold for 8gbp Dec 09 and one at auction went for just over 10gbp a few months back. Hope this helps.
