Not a bad experience per se - just the truth. The make-up of this forum has dramatically changed over the past 2 years.
I've tried to sell some very desirable works on this forum - and while you get a lot of interest/response, when it's time to play ball, the interested parties don't have the money. There's no need to name and shame but it's happened to me on multiple occassions.

I didn't know the pics were stolen and have seen crap descriptions for great artworks before so I wasn't overly concerned about that. I guess mostly I wanted to believe it was real. Rats. No worries, I haven't forwarded payment and asked to see their proof that it's authentic. Any other advice forum members may have (outside of don't be stupid) is appreciated.

Selling a hi-dollar print like that in a 24hr auction with bank transfer only makes no sense at all unless your a con artist. ( why would a seller intentionally try to undersell a piece like this, anyone who originally bought this piece knew exactly what they were buying, as it cost 4 times as much as any other Banksy at that time).
if the courier company was already arranged, why not mention their name?.
Too many dodgy bits there to be a happy bidder.

I've seen the pice before somewhere else in another acution also ( about 4 months ago) - I remember the wonky mount, but they did ask for my phone number (?) odd. Christ with Shopping Bags is almost certainly dodgy and i'm unsure about Cant Beat that Feeling as it seems the wording and picture have been taken from Andipa Gallery.
Rest assured no money will be changing hands for either print unless I collect them, which i'm willing to do as, if on the off chance they're kosher, then its worth making the trip for.
