There is a bit of truth in what you say but not to that extent either. I don't believe he lost his edge, quite the contrary he is expanding his style and boundaries. And the collectors buying his works now are at another level. His humorous paintings' shows were never as successful marketwise until he began painting more sentimental works. As an early collector of his, I do own paintings in both styles and can appreciate what you are saying, because I miss the older style too - however I would encourage you to see the new style of works in person they are much better than in photos.

Agreed! He always picked the worst images for his prints too. I liked a ton of his older stuff but never found a print I liked enough to buy.
