Can't believe it's got this big Carl Cashman 😂 - all because I was bored on Tuesday evening and ended up on the Bristol Museum Shop - hopefully they will release more and make it one per person - it is an open print after all

But at £5 I'm not going to worry too much about it. Im presuming its not the same poster Definitely not the same one. just saw the picture of it on the news clip, with a nice plain white background.

For the amount they're charging on shipping for a print this size, I would imagine flat. Hopefully. Plus the pictures show them laid out flat in a nice plastic slip cover.

I’ll give you a clue it’s not going to arrive in a wooden crate. And if it’s damaged I’m sure they’ll just print off another. A print/poster sent flat in an envelope is far worse than a tube.

They should at the very least sandwich the poster in between 2 sheets of 18mm MDF after putting acid free tissue on the top and bottom to protect it couldn't they?
Really, i mean i have spent just under £5.00 for postage and packaging, I hope it's tracked as well.
Finally, and I do not think I am taking the piss, I would also like to see my name on some kind of fancy brass plaque displayed in the Museum for my purchase.

Bristol Museum • Paint Pot Angel Poster • WITHDRAWN , by met on Jan 12, 2018 18:18:11 GMT 1, According to the description, it’s a “Banksy print...” So considering it’s from the only place that has had a Banksy museum show, it’s fair to assume these aren’t just randomly produced by museum staff creating unofficial stuff on a whim. But rather Banksy has given approval. Would he have to if the piece is part of the museum’s collection? Yes, Banksy will have had to give his approval. [Or Pest Control, if Banksy assigned his rights to the company.]
As referred to here by Dive Jedi, ownership of an artwork is distinct from ownership of the copyright to the artwork.
_________
In this case, there is also two separate copyrights involved:
(i) that of the artist who created the sculpture; and
(ii) that of the photographer who took the photo of the sculpture.
The museum will have secured permission from both in order to reproduce and sell the image.

£5 poster or not I’d still prefer it flat especially as it could fit in an envelope. Think that’s quite straightforward enough.

Unless you're very lucky, or it's a very thick envelope, it will get the corners smashed. Lots of galleries have tried this over the years and failed.
