Same sort of thing happened with ‘no work today’ as well. Can’t believe they’re up immediately though.

I definitely will not sell this one, but I'm open to a Whatson, Chevrier or D*Face trade (or a Parra trade, but I already have The Window and No Work Today, two of his finest if you ask me).

New Parra "Sliding Doors" up now, by Fake on Dec 14, 2017 10:23:23 GMT 1, This arrived!
Expect a very long square tube with a small extra surprise ;-)
I think a lot of people will be shocked at first when they open the print and look at the white parts in the chair and mountain. it looks like there are dirty smudges there... but this is part of the print and not dirt.

New Parra "Sliding Doors" up now, by jeeves on Dec 14, 2017 16:07:58 GMT 1, as usual i missed the drop, never got an email despite being on all the mailing lists (apparently), weird. great print i think (tho for me not quite as good as the window and no work today) - love both original parra style and this new direction, great to see him going from strength to strength. i am hoping there will be some at decent value on the bay in coming months, was amazed how cheap some no work todays went for (tho i unfortunately panicked and paid a massive price immediately after release...)

Grinning from ear to ear.

New Parra "Sliding Doors" up now, by ditisdeleven on Dec 14, 2017 20:11:21 GMT 1, Can somebody tell me more about the technique? Why is this print so special, compared to other (Parra) prints?
What does this mean: "By using some painterly effects the print was made to look like the original 2017 ‘sliding doors’ painting (hand-screened by Bert Depuydt in Antwerp, Belgium)"

New Parra "Sliding Doors" up now, by tranito on Dec 14, 2017 20:33:06 GMT 1, Usually with screen printing, and it seems to apply to Parra's previous screen prints, ink either goes through the screen or not, which leaves a color uniform and plain where it was intended to be. In an effort to do a print that looks closer to the look and feel of the original painting, some ink layers show some transparency in some spots while being opaque elsewhere. That's the "scuffed" effect you'll see on his OGs that weren't part of his prints up until this one. I don't have the print to describe it, but from the pic just above, you can clearly see it in the hair of the ladies.. Hope it makes sense.

Of course. If you need to get one still, I'd suggest contacting them if you haven't already.

New Parra "Sliding Doors" up now, by jeeves on Dec 26, 2017 11:26:09 GMT 1, What a relief. They used Kraft paper for packaging this time. No more plastic sleeves and dinged edges. Can't wait for mine. Just curious why you don't like them coming in plastic sleeves? I have a print of his that I have been storing in the plastic sleeve that it came in so just want to be sure this isn't a bad idea or something. Thanks

The plastic sleeve allowed the print to slide up and down the tube during transit.
The No Work Today drop all came in plastic sleeves and many arrived with edge damage.
