I suspect around £16K - £18K. Nice little earner. One of these "It takes money to make money" scenarios.

Yes, you have a big point, no Paypal or credit card protection, and no pick up.

It gives you the same feeling as when you look at the stars at night, it reminds us how very insignificant we really are. Love it.

corblimelimey,
You can rest at ease. I am almost certain that £9,000 would not have beaten Artificial's high bid.

Relative to what the past 2 Barcodes have gone for - this is actually a pretty good deal is the sad thing.

really sad for an artform which was supposed to be anything but elitist and is going that way...

Banksy Laugh Now Print, by Zippy on Jun 5, 2007 23:14:34 GMT 1, isnt it a shame that it was won by a dealer who will soon have it listed on his site. he will be offering it with full provenance. But will the buyer know it was won on the bay only a few weeks earlier? Do i write like a jealous man? Maybe its because I am!! I see all of these higer priced items going straight to dealers in future. Z

Banksy Laugh Now Print, by carlito on Jun 6, 2007 0:25:43 GMT 1, get the cash together for a couple of unsigned Mr B's, and then concentrate on signed work from Beejoir, D*Face, Mantis and Adam Neate (if I'm exceedingly lucky)....+ all the other up and comers who are still in reach and not yet crashing pc's and creating mountains of c/card debt .... well thats my plan anyway

Banksy Laugh Now Print, by atkuefler on Jun 6, 2007 3:04:36 GMT 1, Carlito, I like your style! I am strongly concentrating on very specific artists as well. I personally am always looking for primary works by Banksy, Antony Micallef, Adam Neate, Beejoir, Audrey Kawasaki & my new focus is Ian Francis. I think Ian is going to be a great investment. What are others thoughts?

I believe that British aerospace is a sound investment if that is what you're looking for.

which dealer is he matt? it's a sad but very true scenario you predict and i can see it becoming the norm very, very soon. ebay will be for unsigned only in a year, barring the odd exception which will go for way out of our leagues but a conservative investment for most dealers.
