Banksy Kate Moss (Colourways) Print

Hang up has a Green/Turquoise/Blue print for 60k GBP.

I love the Kate image but its seems to be the one print that hasn't risen much in price over the last 10 years, possibly because it had such a meteoric rise so quickly it had to flatten out. I'm hoping someday I could trade my NOLA for a Kate and throw some cash in.

All Banksy prints crashed in value as a result of the financial crisis. The edition of 50 was going for around £50-60k and maxed out at almost £100k before the crash. Most of Banksy's images are not very palatable; the older prints are often small, non-colourful, nor things that most would want to hang. Kate Moss prints are large, vibrant and a clear and playful tribute to Warhol. Their prices have recovered to £56k inc fees at auction more than a year ago. Since that time, some blue-chip Banksy prints (Nola especially) have increased in value by 50% and some have doubled. It is quite possible that the next one to appear in a Forum Auctions sale could break £100k; it will eventually have it's day. The original colourway is normally regarded as the most desirable, but edition size is important. The editions of 20 may be worth even more. That said, Kate Moss and Nola are, I would say, on par with each other so unless you just prefer the image, keep the Nola. A standard edition will probably be at £75k by the end of 2018.

IMO, I think that's the cheapest you'll find. There is a gallery in Shrewsbury that had an original colour way for sale and wanted £82.5k for it a few weeks ago. Aspirational at best, but if you want something really special I hear Hang-up may have a something interesting available imminently....

Interesting that they are near 12” in size, could they be some sort of test prints from the record releases? Or are they just pure fakes.
What do you think?

Given they are described as art prints I would save neither - they’re just a reproduction. Not an original print or a fake.
