You haven't been to the hotel, have you? The receipts may have a unique number, but you can take your pick from the boxes on display and there's no photo taken at the time. They have things called computers which have the transaction ID against an item. If the number was just made up then you could check if that was in their system. Making up a number is not that easy.

I bet it wont take long for them to stop saying yes and to politely say get lost with all these British people bossing them about on the phone for something they sold for $150. Not forgetting its a hotel with people staying there, not an office. If i was the manager I would say just tell people we can't check the system. The hotel cant be pest control for this :-)
I dont think the fakes will be that many at this price point, easier ways to make money photocopying posters.
As someone said earlier the prov on this cheap tat is the see tickets room booking info along with receipt and a paper trail back to the original buyer.
All a bit much really, just go and get one, if not buy something else

They will say yes to you wont they? and then the next day when someone else phones with the same number as its a photocopy, guess what, they will say yes. Maybe it would be also great for authentification to get the print stamped on the back by the WOH.

Just visit the hotel and purchase the Box Set, keep the receipt and the resident ID with your name and the stamp on it (which indicates you bought the set). A trip to paint the wall, and make a documentary video you could get some backers here or from indiegogo etc.

If stuff is out of stock, can one pay in advance for an item and reserve it and pick it up later? I decided to have the boxed set framed (double mat and black shadow box frame with UV museum quality non-glare plexiglass). In doing so, I opted to take out the glass of the ikea frame and put the art work on acid-free archival mat. I am glad I decided to do this sooner rather than later. Although there is a 2-5mm gap between the stone and the artwork. Upon taking the artwork out of the frame, I noticed there is a bit of discoloration where the stonework is. I have attached a few photos (although I am not sure how much is visible in the photos). As a result, I am having the stonework moved away from the image and pushed to the front of the ikea frame with the additional room now that the glass is gone. The piece is currently with my framers. I will post pictures when I get it back, but wanted to give members a heads-up on what I encountered. Cheers

Bought a boxset off a guy who stayed there when they had the street party, he included one with the sale. Its double sided.
