3D prints on POW selling out (600 signed In... editions), by soupy on Aug 2, 2018 14:33:27 GMT 1, Maybe a little bit out out of topic but the 4 noble truths (blue) I received from POW seems to be numbered out of 600. I though there was only an edition of 50. blue is an edition of 50. i bought the blue during closing sale and it is #/50.

No price fixing. I bought the 'In Baghdad'. I like 3D and should've bought when they were on pow. Gonna get it framed soon.
Looking to get some pieces by Cheba, Lee Ellis and Joe Webb.

3D prints on POW selling out (600 signed In... editions), by moron on Aug 3, 2018 13:03:28 GMT 1, There are no flat earthers on this forum. I'm sure some on here know who is behind Banksy and could be staying quiet for more than one reason.
If the Sweeny is still after someone for graffiti and have crime scene fotos of graf on walls and a name comes out as to who Banksy is eg Del naja etc, they could be round his gaff in their panda cars and drag him off to a magistrates court and fit him up with evidence only for the magistrate to say, that there are no complaints against Banksy for criminal damage and the Sweeny are too 1980's and should be less corrupt and go out and catch real criminals like Keith vaz etc.
Banksy is international there is one on each continent.

3D prints on POW selling out (600 signed In... editions), by moron on Aug 3, 2018 13:07:30 GMT 1, 3D's work is his actual "fine art"....the banksy project is a mass marketing pop art project. Two very different projects I get why people don't like both they are for two different markets. The 3D work will be the more sought after stuff long term. Im not sure if 3D's own work will be considered anything more than basic stencils. If 3D creats a big show in his own name with his own art and creative ideas made by assistants he would definately move up a few levels.
I thought Banksy was Robert Banks?

Robert Banks and Banksy are the same person this is why people on this board hate me but yet again (I keep getting asked) so... here is the (in)famous dirty funker LP thats credited to Robert Banks and has a famous Banksy on the front. So ya not (Robin/Robbing (Gunnigham Banks) like people on here and the daily mail claim where the nick name came. It's clearly ROBERT BANKS.
Goldie also said ROBERT and won't back on it and he's been their since the start.
Robert Del Naja is clearly Banksy. I really don't get how anyone can think differently. I would love to have my mind blown and changed at this point....but not likely.

Mate your 'infamous' Dirty Funker record is just some shit tech-house chancer who (rightly) thought he could sell a few records by stealing some Banksy pictures off the internet and putting them on his sleeves. How the sticker artwork counts as evidence in your mind I have no idea!
Goldie is off his head, and the few times i've spoken to him i'm not sure he'd know his own name.
Give it a rest.

To be fair, I quite enjoy reading your rationale as to why you believe Robert del Naja to be Banksy, in the same way that I quite like reading a Dan Brown book, when I'm looking for an entertaining yarn, and not too worried about the obvious plot holes.
Do you not wonder, if del Naja genuinely was Banksy, then why haven't all of his 3D pieces, once on POW and now on eBay, along with those still available at other sources, been bought, by those who are in the know? Surely they'd make a great investment at the prices they're available for.

So now the dirty funker LP which has sold for thousands is now according to you and your gallery just some unofficial techno garbage? That just randomly guessed the name Robert.
Also, Goldie's health is fine. I understand you're trying to run a gallery but don't put out rumors that someone doesn't know what they are currently talking about. (Feel free to youtube some recent interviews Goldie is fine, still making music and is of sound body and mind.)

Because my mate that got it for me mentioned how I got into the Art and I guess the conversation evolved.

If you're still in a position where you and your mates are out punishing artists (AKA asking for autographs/selfies) as the saying goes -- everything you say is at least 2nd hand information. So just don't be so quick to judge someone else's opinion. This is not a personal attack I'm just saying this board has a serious case of broken telephone going on.

3D prints on POW selling out (600 signed In... editions), by Happy Shopper on Aug 3, 2018 18:46:58 GMT 1, Do you not wonder, if del Naja genuinely was Banksy, then why haven't all of his 3D pieces, once on POW and now on eBay, along with those still available at other sources, been bought, by those who are in the know? Surely they'd make a great investment at the prices they're available for.
That's such a good point, and basically all the evidence needed.
In the same way that some people just "knew" to start queuing for Banksy prints, those people would be buying up 3D... And they're not.

3D prints on POW selling out (600 signed In... editions), by Rouen Cathedral on Aug 3, 2018 18:47:13 GMT 1, At least Jimbo has reasons behind his theory. He's at least thought through some things. Whether it is true or not.
Everyone giving him grief seems fine with those that don't give the identity a second thought or say oh no one knows and it doesn't matter.
That way of thinking is much more lazy and less fruitful. Much more sad in my opinion.

In the same way that some people just "knew" to start queuing for Banksy prints, those people would be buying up 3D... And they're not.
Can you explain this queing thing? Must have missed that time period.
Do you not wonder, if del Naja genuinely was Banksy, then why haven't all of his 3D pieces, once on POW and now on eBay, along with those still available at other sources, been bought, by those who are in the know? Surely they'd make a great investment at the prices they're available for. That's such a good point, and basically all the evidence needed. To be honest people knew to queue for choose your weapon as the VIP emails went out early. At least a couple.

A queue formed outside Pictures on Walls before any formal announcement... Choose your Weapon, and I think maybe some other releases that were done that way.

Apparently you are not familiar with price fixing in the art world (it pretty much runs the art world). The point of this thread when I started it was to show how on and off sales of these editions have been over 14 YEARS. Look at that last benefit show where the 3D unsigned palestine posters sold out instantly at the merch table and were quickly flipped for 10x on ebay. Do you not think 3D could have taken these sitting POW prints out on tour and sold them instantly over 14 years?
If the ebay Palestine poster sold so quickly why are we constantly seeing the same prints that are signed go unsold? .....because the auction gets cancelled. The prices are fixed so people like happy shopper go 'that's all the evidence I needed' and move along. Or better yet people who think along the lines of "well this must not be a banksy because its so cheap" legit post a print for cost....further cementing that these things aren't worth much.
LAZ's 3D stuff is always "request for price"...its in his court to let a print or OG go for what price --whenever he chooses-- and to whoever --he has control of the market.

Gotcha.
In relationship to the discussion I would say knowing a print is coming vs knowing his identity are like 10 levels of magnitude away from each other. That would explain the lack of action on 3d prints.

That makes zero sense. Sales on eBay are all fake... Hahaha

The whole point of why I actually started this thread was to track the history of this edition and the price fixing.

LOL. Missing the point as usual. Of course those that had some inside information don't all know who Banksy is! But there are plenty who do.
