Graffiti Prints , by Daylight Robber on Jun 9, 2020 13:49:51 GMT 1, I am not even bitter, somebody else will get to enjoy it! I love Nuno's work and he is such a nice guy. I feel disappointed that it won't get to grace my walls and that the link between amazing talent and collectors is dealt with in this way. Unfortunately in order to support the artists and to own the pieces they create we have no choice but to continue using GP, I suspect this attitude stems from that "power". To even refund the charitable donation (which I will now donate personally) is low. I was nothing but courteous with Giancarlo in my communication, citing the disappointment in his behaviour and that Nuno is likely unaware his collectors are met with hits. I asked him to consider his decision for the benefit of goodwill, a future relationship and reputation. I was met with: I would never let this make me think less of the talented artists, though I hope they make an informed decision on who represents them next time. Seeing as anyone can set up an Instagram & Shopify and drop prints, I may look at doing the same for artists but without the sh*tty attitude. Trust takes years to build as he rightly said but is broken in minutes. I'll leave it there but beware of GP in future.
Again - what a t**t.
Nuno has plenty of talent and would've made it with or without GPs 'help'.

Graffiti Prints , by jsher on Jun 9, 2020 14:10:28 GMT 1, Of course! I agree but didn't know if everybody would appreciate a mile long post! Hopefully you can see below I kept my cool and tried to reason with him to keep the White print. There are no terms of sale on the site stating you may only buy one of each edition.
I can only encourage people to speak out about it respectfully with the artists who may not beware when a gallery behaves improperly.
Received a refund text from Shopify moments before the email.

If your not in the vip group unfortunately tough luck , regular buyers are reliable for cash flow for a business That can change on a whim. Also these desperate buyers fund the vault sales , strategic marketing You can not compare to a normal situation and expect normal standards of customer care when dealing with a limited company , owners are free to chose how they run their business.

This can't be fixed. Gotta pick ur battles better next time. If the art is an instant sellout and the work is desirable, just suck it up and take it up the ass. Better something than nothing. If the artwork sits, then you can be assertive cuz ur doing the gallery a favour by moving unwanted product.
Looks like it got out of hand when you started posting. Plus someone on here was a snitch.
Chalk it up as learning.
Next time buy under another name with different address. Change your ip too.
Ask master bob for guidance how they get their GP fix. They are veterans when it comes to being exiled on ban island.

There was no goodwill from the off. The state of the 1st email, sent to a paying customer! Lacking the courtesy of addressing them in person or even bothering with the effort of using a 'Shift Key'. It's shitty customer service considering a couple of days ago they were happy to take +£500 from the OP.
It's indicative of what they think of every other sucker happy to hand over their hard earned. No time for that kind of shit.

Graffiti Prints , by jsher on Jun 9, 2020 15:54:15 GMT 1, Interesting thoughts...
1) I posted on here respectfully (no cursing, no anger) to see if anybody else had the same issue. This is a community so figured it a good place to ask.
2) I have zero obligation of "goodwill" toward GP after having spent £550 with them in the space of 24 hours. (Not that posting on a forum for advice goes against that anyway)
3) Agreed, if I get the money back, disappointment doesn't hurt. I waited and saved to buy some Nuno pieces and to support him as an artist. I had even marked out the walls with tape where the prints were going when I bought them.
I'll spend the money elsewhere, someone else will enjoy the Nuno.
4) I have worked in Sales & Marketing since leaving uni, with 3 of those years spent at Rolls-Royce Motor Cars. There are no shortage of millionaires nor demand for a £450,000 car but does that allow you to treat customers like sh*t? Nope. If you want to have a business with a good reputation and loyal customers, treat people well it - isn't rocket science.
Behind all these rules and politics, art is there to showcase talent and bring us all some happiness - why laden it down with this sh*t?
Lessons learnt!

No one should have to apologise for expecting good customer service. In the same respect if anyone would rather be treated like a mug I guess that's their prerogative.

Variations of editions , special editions , mini editions to come of the same image, do not worry , just have patience I agree with you, I am the one losing out here. Other prints will come, though I refuse to fund GP. That said I have spoken to Nuno about it who seemed rightfully disappointed yet also tied to GP who helped him build his career. Unfortunately I doubt the artists will walk away from GP.
Artists entrust the sale of their work to gallerists because it saves them all this hassle. It works both ways when the gatekeeper to your work and talent behaves abhorrently.
Cancelling an order because of an error is understandable, even if badly handled. Cancelling one out of spite is sheer abuse of the power entrusted by the artist. To then cancel a charity donation adds insult to injury.

You are on the banned list now Maybe when some of these hot artists leaves his business and finds other representatives he may treat his customers with some decency . There will be multiple reprints .

Not like you missed out on the next banksy ,Most of the artists pumped there have not amounted to much , Sandra chevier, dot dot dot , kunstrasen , have a brief period of hype , the art is fun and good but generally a lot of hype around flipping and profits to be made , just check eBay after a release , but even these sales are slowing down now ,just take your time to look through the catalogue of artists . Try reaching out to the artist , he should receive a certain amount of the edition

Graffiti Prints , by Express Post on Jun 9, 2020 20:56:32 GMT 1, Try asking for a commission from Nuno since ur in touch with the guy. Worth a shot since u got nuthin to lose. Then you'll be directly supporting the artist.

Graffiti Prints , by NYart on Jun 11, 2020 14:03:05 GMT 1, Gotta side with GP on this one. His logic was sound canceling your first one, oversells are an accident, you weren’t being punished, he was trying to be as fair as possible. Why cancel an individuals only print when you grabbed two?
You weren’t aggressive or overtly offensive in your emails, but saying your ‘disappointed’ and ‘expected better’ can certainly put someone on the defensive. Not unreasonable to see him to take it personally.
