ROA's works sometimes look better as they age and get tagged. The urban decay works well with the subject matter I think. However in this case I do think this is unfortunate - I'm not sure of the etiquette of it all, but I struggle to imagine how someone could block out over such a fabulous piece in this way.

Thanks for the kind words about the magazine...we miss it too. Reality is the core team got very busy with the day jobs, young families etc. and we couldn't commit as much time to it. Very few of us could make openings any more, or participate on here as much as we wanted to. We never wanted to produce anything we weren't happy with so decided it was better to stop and compromise on the quality.

Agreed - it was a bit sad to see the bottom third lost to a tag which for me isn't as special or artistic. But I think most street artists accept that as the price paid to 'paint big' and to reach the wider (and more socio-economically diverse) audience you get outdoors as compared to exhibiting in a gallery. Still wished it hadn't been daubed over from a personal perspective though!

I got half way through and regretted it (it was the Roa one that made me change my mind as I love his stuff and anything by him is so rare). I then bought everything back over about two years! Ouch - Exactly what I fear if I get rid of my collection...one copy of each mag since Issue 3, one copy of all bar one of the editioned versions so it's incomplete, they aren't displayed, they don't get looked at, my wife would love me to get shot of them yet I fear the minute I did.... exactly what you say! There is some awesome content in there (and I don't mean my contributions!), I wish there was a way to easily search an index of the contents. Surely some boffin has a way of scanning the content page and producing something techie and searchable from that?

I’m a massive fan of the mag, the LE’s were such a brilliant, affordable and accessible way to collect signed prints of artists otherwise difficult to obtain. The launch party’s were always decent too. Met some decent people along the way.
