DFace Dog Save The Queen Print, by jboy on Sept 6, 2007 19:09:09 GMT 1, Amazing - and they are getting like gold dust, especially the gold and original green ones.
So if there is one on the bay i would snap it up if i was you, its the first one in 3 months
Its looks really really camp, but the frame suits it to a T.
No, I don't like smelling a-hole silky

Banksy is to Rats what D*face is to the queen.
Im not hyping anything, im not selling it as its been hung.

Yep, I think the D*Face Queen pieces are seen as his classic icon image, and if he really never does a Queen piece again they are gonna get pretty rare.

the bloke who was selling it has been accused of shill bidding, removing items which aren't doing well etc in the past. he's quite well known on the light side so perhaps he got a massive offer when it was sitting at £101 with a day to go but his history would perhaps suggest that isn't the case.
yours went for £390 framed, before that the previous two in june were £195 and £200 buy it now. artopia sold one for £350 in early july and that's gallery prices so the evidence doesn't seem to back up your assertion. as with anything though it is worth what you are willing to pay.
i did consider bidding for the one you got but couldn't have picked it up in london so i'd have been hit with postage of £45 and i was slightly concerned that it might be dry mounted so that price certainly wouldn't have been an 'absolute bargain' for me.
anyway, back to the original point of my thread. does anybody have one to sell? quite happy to negotiate a price which the seller would be happy with for the right colourway. i've had one offer so far but it isn't necessarily the colour i would have chosen so i'm waiting to see if there is anything else available.
cheers ;D

Its professionally framed, why would it be dry mounted?
The prices change all the time - someone offered me £500 for a silver hate the other day and i got that for £350 3 weeks ago from snakes who had it on ebay for a few days, so we will see on the DSTQ your not the only one that has been asking about them on the forums - there will be plenty more d*face fans watching that one so its £200 with 3 days left and 80% of bidding is done in the last 3 minutes, so we'll see if my framed one was a bargain or not.
I dont care anyway, ive got one..

so you don't know any framers who dry mount? it was the fact that the seller wanted the frame and print to go together which had a few alarm bells ringing.
yep, as i said they are only worth what somebody is willing to pay. if somebody is willing to pay £500 for a silver hate now when nobody wanted it for £350 before then that's what the market dictates. doesn't mean that another one appearing on the market a day later would go for £500 though does it?
i've been offered one for less than you paid. wonder if the offer will be withdrawn now that the price has shot up ;D

naah mate, i realise now that it isn't dry mounted. i saw your posts when you got it and thought fair enough because you were able to have a look when you picked it up but i was going to have to take a chance on it (when the auction was live) which is fine if you get it for a real bargain price but as i said above it would have cost me almost £450 delivered for a print which could potentially have been dry mounted in a frame which might not have been my first choice (to fit in with my other d*face prints).

I recommend though that you have just one special print in a really over the top frame - it really is a talking point!
