Insect SID, by Danger Mouse on Dec 20, 2006 14:05:04 GMT 1, Hi Rolyateel
Just seen the picture you posted of your framed Paul Insect - Sid. It looks cool. My girlfriend has bought me the same print as an early Christmas present (aint she nice). Can you tell me what size frame you got and if you used a special type of frame/glass to protect the print? Did you get it proffesionally framed and how much did you pay if you dont mind me asking? I will be looking to get my framed in the New Year, so would be happy to hear from you.
Thanks, Dale

Insect SID, by twigboy on Dec 20, 2006 14:47:30 GMT 1, Just got back from the Micaleff madness at the Ghetto, and they said Paul Insect had dropped off the last of the Editions of Sid Elvis and Hendix... Got myself a Hendrix to make up the full set... they even had a few Signed Elvis left...
I'm a happy goose... Christmas has come early for me ;-)

Hi It's just a std frame from Athena Nielsen frame - 50x70cm I got the mount cut by a company that's 2 doors away from me at work. Have backed the print with acid free art paper & carefully used a tiny amount of masking tape on the corners of the print to hang it from the mount. Cost me Β£29 total!
;D

Insect SID, by alvington89 on Dec 20, 2006 19:59:14 GMT 1, Masking tape is NOT a good idea. You should use archival conservation tape. Over a short time masking tape sticks like s to a b then dries up and breaks down leaving a hideous stain that you won't be able to remove on the back of your print which will devalue it massively. My advice is to take it off now (V. CAREFULLY) whilst you can and use the correct tape.

Insect SID, by T-Bro on Dec 21, 2006 10:17:02 GMT 1,
be careful, i bought 4 prints from them, they shipped them all in the same tube.
funny how they are forcing you to buy another print to get a decent one.
