For those of you asking what the sale price was, please ignore him, it's much easier than seeing you all take the bait every time.

New Edition from DRAN, by chads007 on Dec 24, 2016 13:56:05 GMT 1, Hi all, to get back about art and the work of dran, i must say that i love the image. To speak the truth i loved it since the bookmark was made. You can see on the picture that the bookmark was damaged by a tear of the person it was given to. So i'm sure dran has found this work interesting enough to paint it again. (As dran has done on countless time in the past) Dr.Plip expressed a nice thought about the image. I would like to add all the sadness of loosing the childish thoughts, dreams and expectations as you grow. I would add that the duality / bi-polarity into dran as an artist is also very well represented into this work. Even suicide and death thoughts are present in here IMO. A bunchfull of emotions...that's it !!! Into my eyes (but i may be biased as i'm a dran's collector and fan) this is a very good image and i hope that giclee will give the deepness of the watercolours firstly used. As previously stated it's quite huge and the framing must be carefully thought to give the most of this nice image. As a long dran collector i don't see any bad to get the chance of buying the print without the assle of an F5 drop. I think it's respectfull for the people getting really interested into an artist work having the possibility to do so. Aside of this i found it quite expensive, especially for a not wealthy collector like me ! It's difficult for people like a lot of us to keep enjoying our passion when prints reached so high price. I suppose those prices have been based due to the very low edition and the huge size. Anyway i'm in and mine is not for sale. I'm really looking forward getting it framed nicely. I hope everyone can understand the meening of my thoughts with my broken english. That's why i don't post much in here...simply because i can't express my emotions as i wanted to if it's not my native language. dran expresses it with his art ! and he's a f**kinggenious !!!! Anyhow i wish you all mery xmass and the best for your collection in 2017 ! With love
Agree, and well put

New Edition from DRAN, by Pjam on Dec 28, 2016 15:51:50 GMT 1, I think many were turned off by the price however for 2 prints with a run of only 33, this was a no brainer if you were lucky enough to purchase.

I think the bitterness on here for people not offered the chance to buy Means time to slag it off
Usual antics
I think it's a nice size / edition not sure on how peeps will display it though So interested to see framing options for a change

New Edition from DRAN, by pippyt75 on Dec 29, 2016 12:39:18 GMT 1, Im the opposite. That's art tho innit. It struck a chord with me immediately, I find the image really moving. Also love the diptych element. My favourite print of the year and delighted to have picked one up.

New Edition from DRAN, by vikingsurfer on Jan 2, 2017 23:35:01 GMT 1, I was offered one by the gallery and in the end decided to pass.
I really love the work, but after factoring in quality framing costs, space and other artworks I already have that aren't on the wall, I decided to save myself a grand (possibly two after framing).
Instead I bought about 12 mini prints from Dran's Paris stall Through a contact, I managed to get quite a few of my favourites from there and have no qualms about getting lovely frames for them.
For all those that bought the Dran #33 release, it's a quality pick up and you'll enjoy it very much. Good job.

New Edition from DRAN, by Daniel Silk on Jan 3, 2017 2:26:16 GMT 1, Dran does some nice and clever images, but sorry absolutely none of them would ever make it up on to my walls. They just don't feel like the type of art that I would ever want to look at on a daily basis dull and depressing.

I saw some pics of the stall and mini prints, definitely looked pretty cool. Do you happen to know much about them? Were they signed, open edition, giclee?

New Edition from DRAN, by pippyt75 on Jan 6, 2017 3:04:43 GMT 1, Would love to know how folk are thinking of framing these... To optimise the diptych effect was thinking of going no mount, framed to the edges so the images can be closer together. I've said it before and I'll say it again - haters is haters but this is the best print of 2016 in my very humble opinion!

I presume the edition was 'timed' as in only available for the time that Dran's friend ran the stall in Paris.
