Henrik Uldalen π§π» Oil Painting β’ Figurative Painter, by randomname on Dec 21, 2016 17:53:09 GMT 1, I picked up one of his studies on paper a little while back. Great little piece of art.
I've been trying to pick up another one in the same size to frame next to it. Would work great in a weird little space I have. Unfortunately, these were the wrong size. If anyone has one of his studies on paper and don't think you'll frame it, let me know.
Here's mine, btw. Apologies for the reflections.

It can be multiple things.. for example learning how to paint hands you will paint a lot of hands to get it right. Or you have a concept and before you do the large piece that will use a lot of supplies you do it small and fast first to see if things will look good and express your consept right.

Henrik Uldalen π§π» Oil Painting β’ Figurative Painter, by randomname on Dec 22, 2016 16:52:21 GMT 1, Because it's on wood, I would frame it like a canvas. I think a white tray frame with about an inch of white background showing between the frame and the art would look nice. (No glass.) But I also have a ton of white frames, so I like to keep it consistent. You might have a different color preference. But I think a tray frame is the way to go.

Cool thanks for ideas. I like the thin white tray frame, but like idea of an inch of black background to contrast the grey white oil. Anyway I'll post a picture when done

Nice pick up! I was going to go for this one, but just wanted it to be a bit bigger. I would float in an aged dark oak/mahogany frame with cream or black mount.

Sounds good, I'll send it off to Mr Frameman soon.
It would be nice for them to be bigger but I think his originals do end up being very expensive otherwise, so I took the chance at grabbing one.

Show us the pics when it's framed and up. Yeah, his small originals are on the pricey side compared to these little bargains. His prices are creeping up on these, but still sell in seconds, so fair play to him.
