Banksy Bomb Hugger Print, by KaL976 on Nov 5, 2006 18:14:48 GMT 1, It's from Japan & the numbering doesn't look great - it might be fine, but that's a pretty expensive 'might'
just my opinion

Banksy Bomb Hugger Print, by CR on Nov 5, 2006 19:07:52 GMT 1, it looks a bit suss to me, i dont think the print should be that pixilated should it?
Can anyone with a bomb hugger confirm if it is that pixilated?

Banksy Bomb Hugger Print, by numusic on Nov 5, 2006 20:55:14 GMT 1, Image looks ok, it's just a bad photo.. problem is that this came through 'beautiful losers', a japanese dealer who was brought up for selling a fake canvas on ebay knowing it to be fake. He bought it in good faith, but then to try and get his cash back, he stuck it on ebay again as real. So pretty much, nobody deals with him. Prints are not doubt really, but his ethics certainly are.

Banksy Bomb Hugger Print, by brut on Nov 5, 2006 21:03:15 GMT 1, Hi nite 253. I have the bomb hugger print. It does not seem to be as pixulated as the one on ebay. I saw this print a few weeks back & my issue was with the colour on the close up print where the number is shown. The background of the print is not stark white,it is more of a buff /cream colour. This may look different due to the flash of the camera?I have number 364/600 & i purchased it from santa's ghetto in 2003.The numbering on my print was also done with a finer pencil. I think you should tread carefully when purchasing a print for over £1000.00.Proof of purchase would be great but i have 13 of Mr Banksy's prints & only have proof of purchase on 10 of them as i purchased my bomb hugger & churchill print from santa's ghetto in 2003 & my I fought the law print at santa's ghetto 2005.All paid for with cash or card & only had a till recipt which has been shredded or thrown away. Like most people who collected Banksy's earlier work i did so with no idea of how popular he would become. I am not too bothered about having proof for these prints as i know they are legit & i have not intention of selling them. Try to buy from someone on this site.I am sure if someone is selling one they will let you know.

Banksy Bomb Hugger Print, by andrewd on Nov 5, 2006 23:27:00 GMT 1, My Bomb Hugger is numbered in a different manner, the pencil is smoother, the forward slash between the numbers is at a different angle, seems to be numbered by a different person. The colour is different. Be careful out there.

Banksy Bomb Hugger Print, by ROLLINS on Sept 8, 2007 13:09:22 GMT 1, Hi all.
Just got my Bombhugger back from the framers and............they've creased it!!!
It's in the solid black of the girl, but isn't that noticable as they've covered it up. (close up it is)
The framer says he'll compensate me.
Do you think asking for the price of a new one is a bit strong?? He'd be looking at £3k. Accidents do happen.
Any advise??

Banksy Bomb Hugger Print, by westley on Sept 8, 2007 13:20:58 GMT 1, the best thing is if he was to replace it but 3000 is about the price from a gallery . he should have insurance to cover it so he wont be out of pocket
if it is out of his pocket and the crease is not to bad and you can live with it ask for the amount the print has been devalued by i guess about £500 -£700

Banksy Bomb Hugger Print, by speebe on Sept 8, 2007 14:12:26 GMT 1, Just collected my Flags print from the framers and I can see a crease on the edge of the image by the mount border... It was in pristine condition.
I've got another four to collect and it's making me nervous now as to what condition they'll end up in?

Banksy Bomb Hugger Print, by curiousgeorge on Sept 8, 2007 14:18:41 GMT 1, Feeling the pain of damaged flags!
Might be a case of shutting the gate after the horse has bolted, but for me i've found a framer who i've become friends with so trust him 100% more so after seeing insurance documents.
For anyone framing anything this would be first question bar none!
LOL@ Cashman and flags

I've kept it simple with a thick white frame and a float mount... Will post pics on the 'Get your Banksys out' thread once I've collected them all.
Fingers crossed

If he creased the Flags print I would personally go elsewhere with the others, why risk it?
If he creased a print (very unprofessional) he probably will be floating the DFace with linen tape as well which I personally stay away from. Its supposedly completely reversible but Ive heard alot of stories where it has damaged the print when removed from the frame. Japanese rice paper hinges are your best bet for floating, but not everyone knows the technique. Dont mean to make you too nervous, just trying to help.

Banksy Bomb Hugger Print, by speebe on Sept 8, 2007 18:49:18 GMT 1, Thanks bonesy +1
I've collected the P-Tart from him today too, the rest should be ready Monday.
The ol'Tart looks good and I double checked the tape and he's used archival tape but it looks as though theres no spacer to keep the float mounted print away from the glass... Bloody amatures.
