Banksy • Festival, Destroy Capitalism, by ABC on Nov 14, 2007 23:44:57 GMT 1, Do they often change or add colors?... Does it affect the "value" (I mean financial one ;-) , for instance, will B&W trolleys will get more value than color ones). Good luck with your sale, it really is a nice print.
Original signed will always be sold for more, hence Black and White Trolleys V's Colour. IMO The Colour version is just a way of trying to get more prints "out there" to the fans, whilst making a bit more money for them selves. Now if they Only made a small run, say 25/50 then yes a Coloured version may be worth more. With all Banksy prints its all about the image and not so much the edition size.

I assume the latter.

Banksy • Festival, Destroy Capitalism, by snakes on Nov 15, 2007 22:26:24 GMT 1, ..must admit that this print is starting to grow on me.
However, i bet once it's been released and i miss out again i'll be sick of the bugger!
Hopefully, some of the ticket touts who got involved in the action with the trolleys might think twice about getting involved with this POW release, but then again - doubt it.
Most likely back to ebay again.....

In any case, the color series is excellent because it provides a chance for others to own a signed banksy. I'm glad there are more available. These larger signed editions should hold a great value in my opinion, given their value won't exceed the smaller editions of signed. If your in it for the money, buy canvases...significantly more growth potential there..

Banksy • Festival, Destroy Capitalism, by yeah7 on Nov 19, 2007 13:13:41 GMT 1, Wow, what a price. Just shows what happens when demand is far greater than supply. Don't think they'll ever fetch that when POW sell theirs.
If I were you, I'd grab one from POW or even a POW one from ebay, they'll never fetch that price again.

Banksy • Festival, Destroy Capitalism, by darjeeling on Nov 19, 2007 13:39:19 GMT 1, Even with prices dipping & dropping and such the past few months, there's still plenty of evidence of folks with more money than sense when it comes to Banksy prints. (see also $8100 rude copper) Congrats to Trowel but this is a pretty stupid price when we're seeing unsigned trolleys go for half of this. Me thinky this is a sign that a price dip really needs to dig much deeper to flush out all the hasty, unrestrained & overzealous collectors still.

Banksy • Festival, Destroy Capitalism, by todd on Dec 13, 2007 4:35:15 GMT 1, hello, sorry i am a little late to this thread, but i hope someone can help me answer a question, please pm me if you know - so i see that this print that was for sale on ebay was an edition of 500. i hear some talk about a possible "festival " print being sold at the SG this year. is it part of the same printing, or is it a new edition in addition to the 500 already out in the world? thanks for your help. At some point there will be another 400 unsigned 'festival' prints released. It won't necessarily be at Santa's Ghetto... it's been a very long time coming already & another 6 months wouldn't surprise me!
It is likely that there will be some small differences to the 100 prints already released from the edition. The 4 LA prints already released all had differences when the rest of the run was released by POW.
In my opinion they should be seperate editions, but my opinion counts for shit.
The signed edition will most likely be of 150.
There may be another signed colourway.

And truly echo your sentiments about they should have been seperate editions abdoujparov - intially (after Applause) I'll admit I didn't think it mattered much, but after seeing the difference in quality on multiple LA vs. POW prints, the different colors, the difference in images I wholeheartedly agree - too bad my opinion also doesn't mean anything.

Banksy • Festival, Destroy Capitalism, by todd on Dec 13, 2007 7:39:01 GMT 1, so do i have this right ? when the print was first released it was numbered out of 500. however at that time they hadn't even printed the other 400? and/or it is possible that of the remainging 400 to come they might be split up into signed unsigned, different paper, different colorways? if so, that's strange and i'd think it woulda just made more sense to have each different variety it's own edition. thanks for the insight. Todd

There may be another colourway released which could vary in size from say a hundred to what ever they choose. Morons sepia was an edition of 300 and trolleys 750, only POW and time shall tell, hmm but will they?

Seems that the bargains are to be had stateside, even if the customs man manages to add a cut.
Happy choppers (150108367312) went last month for just over £500 and only needed minor restoration.
