SEEN πΊπΈ Richard "Richie" Mirando β’ Godfather of Graffiti, by stevenwhoreking on Apr 19, 2008 15:06:08 GMT 1, talking to a mutual friend and he said it was still on, just seen didn't like any of the work or something. sounds a bit odd. the stuff's all about moving away from what he feels he's been stereotyped into so i guess that might make you lose confidence...

SEEN πΊπΈ Richard "Richie" Mirando β’ Godfather of Graffiti, by thesewalls on May 11, 2008 8:51:06 GMT 1, COPE2 subway maps go for between $60 - $100. Seen stuff goes for more...i'd say it's worth about $200...only a somewhat educated guess...would love to see the map/image, could influence my appraisal greatly no doubt, but i more just want to see it. please?

SEEN πΊπΈ Richard "Richie" Mirando β’ Godfather of Graffiti, by MakeYourMark on Jul 14, 2008 19:57:49 GMT 1, BLACK MARKET : SEENs new Europeon project.
Back in the early days,Graffiti was found mostly in the inner cities on walls and trains, trains became popular to write graffiti on mainly for the high volume of people who road them daily and that they traveled like moving billboards for everyone to see.
Getting up and making your name unique was a priority. The idea was to get your name up around the city more than any other graffiti writer with a unique style of your own. The more you got your name up the more famous you became.
In the late 70s early 80s Graffiti was taken over by the galleries. A handful of about ten graffiti artists started painting canvas for galleries SEEN was one of them. At this time the art world was looking for a change this art form was to be the answer for the new art of the 80s. The canvases produced by graffiti artists, the value of their work kept rising to untouchable prices for the real purists, the "writers" or just the graffiti lovers. At times, buying a graffiti piece was only a dream.
Today, SEEN decides to put things back into context by selling his art work at very reachable prices. Returns to the roots of graffiti, only the medium has changed !
