It is definitely not his first print, but it is a good one.  I could't do it myself as the whole $100 price increase in a week just rubbed me the wrong way. I guess it's not flipping if it is the gallery doing it?  It is a great print though, and probably worth it at $75 or $175.  Congrats.

Its the first print he has done in the last 4-5 years if I remember correctly and definetly the 1st print in this particular style. I think the price jump was because they were AP's anyone know what the edition size was on the Ap's?

I know he doesn't do many prints, but I have one of the "longhand" screenprints from 4 years ago so I know it's not his first.  I think it is a great print and worth the money but if someone bought it and tried to sell it on here for over 100% profit they would be labeled a flipper.  If the source does it but labels it an a/p I guess it is all good?   I know that a/p's have been around forever and they can demand a higher price but this just seems a little soon to me.  Like I said it's a great print and if it is worth the $175 to whomever buys it then so be it.

The only reaction I had to that was that the original $75 for the regular edition seemed absurdly cheap for such a micro-edition. $175 for the AP I suppose is just the gallery's business mechanism, can't blame them that's how the deal is set I guess? $175 is still well within reason though, no?

I stand corrected even though the other ones posted were not technically on the same level as this print he has, yes made other current prints within the last 4-5 years. I dont consider the Jaybo collaboration a real edition besides being a Giclee it was made more for the exhibition and not really an official release. Regardless the print was above and beyond worth owning as far as a serigraph and amount of colors involved. I know he has atleast 2 other prints that will be released soon one a Giclee and another a Serigraph so it seems things will be coming in threes for him.

As far as the price Kofie is always very reasonable in pricing and he makes it a point to be fair, I dont see him allowing the printer to just higher the price because a print sells out, depending upon the cost of the print he is very fair and the 75 dollars price point was very generous. I have no problem with the printer selling an AP for double the price especially if its an AP edition of 5. I dont have an issue with that but again I have an opinion that the prints were priced low to begin with. 150 for an artist AP edition of 5 is not bad at all. Congrats to whoever was able to pick one up.
