That's true. And I will dispute Damien Hirst's worth until he does something original, which I doubt. And I will continue to question Eine's work until a thunderbolt hit's me and I get it, but I won't hold my breath. Although I can see he has a future painting fairground rides.
Anyway, you are right when you say that I have dished out to other artists, and as everyone keeps on saying on here, we should have the right to do that. I am not actually standing up for the artist here. I have said that I don't like the piece and that I wouldn't buy it. My point is that the abuse that has been leveled at S-editions is out of order and way beyond expressing an opinion.
And who TF does pimp think he is, that he must enlighten people to the terrible mistake people may be about to make in purchasing a print that they have seen and liked, and are about to buy. Is that what we have to do now, whenever we want to buy something that we thought we liked we should ask other people first.
If S-editions are ripping people off as people here suggest then surely people will know this and not buy from them. And as everyone knows, if no one buy's from them then they will go out of business. On the other hand, if people like what they sell and can afford it then they have the right to buy what they want.

i'm thinking of the poor fucker who buys this for close to 200 quid, sends it to mr frameman, who does him for another 100 quid for a frame and 'fluorescent bevel accent'.

mate sorry if i make you feel somehow uneasy with my words , but you are wrong the whole idea of a forum is to share thoughts , now i think it is too much money and not a good piece ! i am no way looking down on anyone. i look up to the advice and help on this forum . i own very few pieces of art and am happy with that but i am not happy when someone is blatantly trying to exploit this forum in order to earn $$$ if they dont like the feedback dont use the forum !

Its very clear that a number of people are not particularly enamored by this print and I think that opinion has been well voiced.
I would say that the people that have bought this print clearly admire it greatly given the level of criticism from day one. To often the adverse is true were people buy prints based on hype and what appears to be the latest craze. Often bought with no other intention but to sell on for a profit.

Overpromoting? We publicised one print 10 days ago. That hardly constitutes an assault on the art-loving members of this forum. By posting your comments you have managed to put it to the top of the front page again - couldn't you just have left it?
thing is, with a lot of other galleries, this thread would have been put to bed a while ago, the fact that they feel the need (rightly or wrongly) to 1) defend the work and 2) mildly insult fellow members will never go down well. I personally think its their marketing plan, better to be talked about than ignored. also Dill, i think there was something about galleries overpromoting, anyone being insulting to another member etc. As to the damaging galleries sales and reputation, it cant be doing that to seditions as they keep coming back like a cold sore!!!
