The market price of an asset or service is determined by the forces of supply and demand; the price at which quantity supplied equals quantity demanded is the market price.

Robert Del Naja π¬π§ 3D β’ Street Artist β’ Massive Attack , by geeem on Feb 17, 2023 8:40:05 GMT 1, Bought new in 2017 from POW, they have been on display in my lounge since then, out of direct sunlight, in nice, but cheap IKEA frames. You know the type - 50x70, Β£15 a piece or-so. They were mounted pretty, (very) unprofessionally using some sort of acid-free tape on the card that came with the frame, and I put the POW tissue paper behind - just 'cos I kind-of liked it!
Not bought as an investment. because I liked them, and they were only Β£90 each at the time, so about Β£100 to buy and frame apiece. I've kept an eye on the eBay prices since I bought just in case they turned into the next "banksys" and worth millions - alas mint ones seem to be around Β£500 each now when they come up online.
Due to personal circumstances, I will shortly no longer be able to display them as the house is going. I'm not going to put them in a tube or folder and into storage... They have to go one way or another - as do some other collectible bits and bobs which are already doing well on eBay. They will either sell as a set to a buyer who wants to love them as I did, or I will personally sign them and give them away - thus rendering them worthless, (unless my art career takes off!)
As I used to frequent this board in my Invader days, and was initially made aware of POW and these prints here - I thought I would at least post this here before I decide on their fate. I've never seen a full set with the providence up for sale, I also don't know how much the "damage" affects the value. I tried removing the tape from one - using Zest-It, but was probably a bit hasty and tore the back a little! So, for now - I'm leaving them alone. Inspection shows a little noticeable discolouring on the backs, maybe a tiny bit on the fronts. The frames perfectly fitted the prints, so there was no border - but they do vary in size by a few mm outside the specified 50x70 cm. I've dropped some pictures onto this post... Or will do when I can work out how to - this is the worst form I have ever seen for attaching images! I'm certainly not asking for Β£2000 for them, which - if sold individually, mint - maybe! I don't really need the money either - but I'm not giving them away randomly! But maybe - someone missed out in 2017, and they can be loved in a new home? I would start the bidding on eBay at around Β£1000 which might be laughable - but I'd rather give thenm away for less...
The art community is lovely though, so I'll read and reply to any positive comments - negativity about how these prints have been stored/framed/displayed will be ignored
Big Love
All 4 of them
Cowboy-style Framing/Mounting using acid-free tape
Ripped backing on "In the Dark" and Discolouring
All 4 from the back - Frames on 3 untouched - tape still on.

Robert Del Naja π¬π§ 3D β’ Street Artist β’ Massive Attack , by Acme Thunderer on Feb 17, 2023 9:10:34 GMT 1, If it helps, the names of these four prints are:
- In Europe - In Baghdad - In The Lab - In The Dark
Originally released at the same time in 2003.
They were an edition of 600, so would be interesting to know if you have matching numbers.

I haven't obscured the /600 numbers on the images as some do! They may "just" be visible on the image? 3D signature is in ink on lower left, number / 600 is in pencil on lower right - I'm assuming the images have uploaded

Robert Del Naja π¬π§ 3D β’ Street Artist β’ Massive Attack , by mojo on Feb 17, 2023 20:37:17 GMT 1, It's the 20th anniversary...I remember it well, before social media you had to go outside and wave a banner around to make a point. Time for a revival?
On 15 February 2003, a coordinated day of protests was held across the world in which people in more than 600 cities expressed opposition to the imminent Iraq War. It was part of a series of protests and political events that had begun in 2002 and continued as the invasion, war, and occupation took place.

I have In Europe that I bought about 4 years ago for Β£300, so price seems pretty stable. A grand seems reasonable - would have them off you myself if I had the cash at the moment. Do think theyβre a great quartet of prints. Good luck with the sale!

Robert Del Naja π¬π§ 3D β’ Street Artist β’ Massive Attack , by geeem on Feb 19, 2023 6:30:04 GMT 1, OK, I'm putting them on eBay with some sort of Β£1000 reserve to see what happens and what offers I get I'm sure this forum will pick the auction up when I list...
Yep - devalue them by defacing/signing them myself and give them to loved ones as a gift, at least I know they still exist and I can "visit them" on occasion without fear of them being sold :-) I'm that kind of absurd guy!
Cheers

You're either a dealer or have a ridiculous amount of wall space. What do you do with all the pieces you put up searches for and presumably buy? Do you sell art in Dubai? Inquiring minds want to know.
