Hardly surprising, you can't just shove it in an envelope and expect it to arrive undamged. Blek's inbox will be full of unhappy collectors, what a shambles, expect so much better from him!

Blek Le Rat • Crooner Rat, by nobokov on Jul 27, 2016 2:09:15 GMT 1, Got a quick response and apologies. Took the replacement option, fingers crossed this one and everyone elses turns up flat. Mine will arrive tomorrow. Sybille was kind enough to send a message beforehand that there might be a possibility of damage, to refuse the package if there are signs, and a replacement would be sent. Great customer service from le Rat family as usual!

The framed option was just the print floating in clear glass. My packaging was s**t for this as my frame arrived damaged but not visible and a bit of black paint sorted it. Wldnt be that expensive to reframe but fine how it is,

I suspect not, this has been packed by somebody who don't give a shit about the print, product or reputation of blek, all they wanted was thier 5-15% and onto the next one...........
Blek would probably be mortified if he saw how this has been treated.
Just sayin......

One could argue that the packaging reflects the value of the art.

Whereas I am puzzled as to how you consider that to be anything other than poor customer service.
More importantly though, are you insinuating that discussion should be restricted to only those who can prove they have bought an item, or that they are able to praise said item? As that would be rather reductive. Either way, if you consider my comment to be 'trolling' then I would politely suggest that you are are being overly sensitive.

Whilst I would normally let this sort of tiresome passive aggression slide as it tends to reflect far more badly on those that deploy it I would still consider it useful to hear what your conclusions are seeing as I took the time to respond to your question?
Have you concluded that I own the print, don't own the print, or even that I am even a 'troll'?

Great customer service from le Rat family as usual! I'm unsure if your last sentence is sarcasm but, if it is not, then I would suggest that knowingly mailing something in packaging that is far from adequate is a long way from great customer service. No sarcasm there... I can't speak to what their thoughts were when they decided on the packing method, but I do consider it great customer service, when a problem is discovered, they promptly inform other customers who may be affected and provide options for a fair resolution. Sybille was up until at least 2 am last night sending updates so that's extreme effort that I appreciate as a customer.

Sybille was up until at least 2 am last night sending updates so that's extreme effort that I appreciate as a customer. Of course, the offer to replace is good, albeit expected, customer service but the need to send out a note beforehand suggesting that they expect it to be damaged and for customers to refuse such a package could easily be averted by doing a decent job in the first place.
I don't know if my standards are unreasonably high but I would expect someone shipping a fragile item to do their very best to ensure that it arrives intact in the first place. Looking at the photos of the packaging it is quite clear that their would be a significant chance of damage. On a related note I would never attach a 'fragile' or 'do not bend' notice as that seems an open invitation to a malicious delivery agent.
Anyways, thanks for the reply and I wish you luck with the replacement print once it ships.

Luckily mine arrived safely from the other side of the world. The packaging seems sufficient and sturdy. Maybe the original poster met with some lackadaisical delivery people.

Hardly surprising, you can't just shove it in an envelope and expect it to arrive undamged. Blek's inbox will be full of unhappy collectors, what a shambles, expect so much better from him! Do you think it is Blek fault ? come on Fed Ex don't do the good job.
Of course Blek is not f*******g happy that your print is ruined. I also bought one print and Sybille told me just before of being careful when i will receive the print that is not going to be damaged. Then you can get easily refund by fed ex with their insurance
Contact him you will for sure find a solution he is a very nice guy and doesn't like when some staf like this happens.
Good luck

For the price of the print, it could have been packed better either flat between thin plywood or in a very sturdy tube.

Since it was so small, I wonder if rolling it would damage it further. I've never seen plywood being used to protect prints, but what if it meets with the same heavy-handed deliverer. I can imagine the plywood shattering, sending hundreds of splinters through the rat's nostril. and what would the added delivery cost be to ship plywood?
