Beejoir π¬π§ LV Child β’ Imodium β’ Colour of Money, by tenhairytoes on Mar 12, 2008 16:08:10 GMT 1, Mistakes happen noodle, acting like a cunt won't get you anywhere, well it will it will get you in the fuck off and don't come back line.
As for being so distraught its only a piece of paper that you have missed out on its not the end of the world. I'd love to call TLSG a bunch of profiteering tossers but lets have a think about this shall we.....
5 full time staff on a min of 20k each Rent for a flashy gallery. Β£? Elec/water/business rates/licenses Artists % Cost of flying artists over and putting them up, s**t ain't free mate.
They don't sit it their arm chairs making a quick few quid on ebay like most of the moaners on here, they give artists a platform and the resources they need to work.

Beejoir π¬π§ LV Child β’ Imodium β’ Colour of Money, by buffin on Mar 12, 2008 19:27:23 GMT 1, Just wanted to say that I have dealt with TLSG on several occasions and always found them to be top notch. I queued for some prints last year and they were great and even invited some early birds into the gallery when it started raining.

Beejoir π¬π§ LV Child β’ Imodium β’ Colour of Money, by bill on Mar 12, 2008 19:31:23 GMT 1, No they are not! I was offered a Beejoir Shell Blood For Oil print that they were going to release at their show. I personally talked to a gentleman at the gallery one week before the show and gave him my information over the phone. He then sent me an email confirmation via the internet the next day. Time goes by and after multiple emails from me asking them where my print was after a month or so they sent me an email saying they "oversold" the print and did not have one for me. There email was cold and simple. Not even a sorry! So with that said I truly feel like TLSG is a load of shit and I would never and I mean NEVER buy shit from them. Tell me how you can over sell a print that was sold to customers a week before the show even opened! By the way, they did the same thing to a friend of mine. On top of that it took nearly three weeks for them to refund our money and we had to email them multiple times in order to get our money back. All in all they are the worst gallery I have ever dealt with and I would never give them my business.

give them a call, be reasonable because they are only human, and fiestyness and aggression will only make things difficult for yourself - suggest some kind of compensation, or maybe first refusal on something in the near future. Im sure they will be open to ideas because they arnt out to kick you in the balls, just to supply you with great artwork and make some dollar!!!
all the best sorting this out but getting stroppy will be to your detriment

Do you intend on buying from them again? If so - like others have said, compromise, if not, then what do you care - you might get lucky, or what they will do is refund you, then ban you!!!
Let me add - I find Alexa etc all very helpful people - so compromise is my suggestion

Beejoir π¬π§ LV Child β’ Imodium β’ Colour of Money, by kentkid on Mar 12, 2008 15:31:52 GMT 1, Hi there, does anyone know the original Souled Out Studios release price for Beejoir's SBFO (ed of 40) print?
I think the edition of 125 cost Β£150, but how much did the edition of 40 originally cost?
Also, were the edition of 40 printed on real Iraqi Dinars, or fake Iraqi Dinars?
Cheers,
KentKid

The Dinars were real but Chris noticed that one sheet were marked as counterfeit and gave that one to a mate who'd helped with the ladder and paint when he did the petrol station sign the print is based on.

Beejoir π¬π§ LV Child β’ Imodium β’ Colour of Money, by DYL4N on Mar 12, 2008 16:58:05 GMT 1, Definately real dinars smuggled out of iraq! Cost was Β£125 ed. of 40 They were all creased slightly, probably cause they were smuggled and i doubt the marine corp had any BRP postal tubes handy.
I know cause i have one. ;D. The last one of these sold on ebay for Β£1350 in January don't come up to often. A few galleries have them at Β£2500.
There is one of the rare Edition of 40 on the bay at the moment. not mine! (250223041511) Hope this helps.

just copied that from the sos main page. i really like this beejoir print and was gutted that the ap's had all gone at the leonard street show, before the doors had even opened on preview night. i think its as good as any print beejoirs has done. what is 'Duratan'?

Beejoir π¬π§ LV Child β’ Imodium β’ Colour of Money, by Deleted on Mar 19, 2008 1:19:04 GMT 1, i'll be interested to see the prints close up. i'm suprised that a simple giclee with screen over the top wasnt used if they are expensice to make. i would have thought that would have done the same job and been much cheeper. however there produced i really like the image. i think it should have been the show print, its much better image than than 'lies'. although the canvas of that was stunning. its simple and funny and all that you expect from beejoir, good stuff.
