Yep I am still offering personal discounts selling them for £800 rather than £1,200, we've got about 1/4 left ...haven't had them long, I'm never be able to afford an original, so this is the next best thing!Piece of British History...Some of my colleagues have met him, that would be amazing!Yep, spose this is a bit of shameless promo! ;)Still can't believe we have them!

he's a legend there was a piece in the guardian arts section online about his new exhibition at one of the tate's. i got la ronde fag packets and love it. here it is, in fact (an artist proof of 10).
sam's brassierie in chiswick has loads of peter blakes hanging in there. worth a visit if you are west. he lives in w4 too and can often be seen painting charactures of tourists for a fiver along the high road.
that last bit was made up
the self portrait in denim with badges is a classic image. changed the art world, that painting.

Out of interest, is anyone familier with the work of Colin Self?
Same era as Peter Blake, Hockney, Warhol etc.

Well worth looking into!
Early work was rather political, but an amazing varied catalogue of work over 35 odd years.
As for Blake, I would be quite keen to find one of his Union Jack images - stunning detail & print quality!

He was very excited when I mentioned Banksy and had nothing but praise for him and his work. He said he had, he thought, maybe, met him at Glastonbury that yr, but said you never can tell.
Peter then when on to tell us about, and show us, his grandsons work which he had very proudly put up with his own work. I think his grandson must have been about 12/14 not quite sure but very young. What he proudly showed us were coloured pictures drawn by his grandson, Street Art Style. So it seems we could have a Blake graffiti artist out there on the streets in the future.

Passed this Babe Rainbow on one of the stands and bought for my husband who has been a big fan of Peter Blake now for many yrs, he remembers having a print of this, from a mag, on his wall as a student. Now he has this on the wall beside his desk at work, he loves it. It is very heavy being on tin plate but looks great in this perspex frame.




By the way Babe Rainbow was supposed to be a picture of a woman wrester, so it says on a note on back of the picture, who supposedly committed suicide.

Apparently Blake keeps wasps in his beard. Other little known facts about Peter are that he is only 4ft 1 and has chive patterns up the sides of his socks in memory of his first pet whippet - Alan. Alan used to drag himself across Peter's chives when he had worms. True apparently.

Original silkscreen with 25 colours, glitter and diamond dust with three glazes! Technically a masterpiece, Id like to see it in person. Id like to know if four of the colors were process CMYK?

He is now on No's 5 and 6 of the series. All previous ones are sold out and tend to go for up to £2k each. I've seen these in the flesh and they are very special. I met him last week and he is a very nice man.

Thankyou for this thread I have a Sources of Pop IV which I was extremely pleased to pick up on ebay at £1000 about four months ago, amazing - Coriander Press really do a fantastic job....also see on CCA Galleries they have the Blake Coca Cola, contacted Coca Cola a month ago told me after the giant poster had no prints and couldn't help me in any way

Sir Daniel of the Baldwin? Don't think so. I went to a Peter Blake exhibition of originals a few years back where prices averaged about £250k. I think DB's got one up on him with his vases though.

Yes they are nice arent they. I read a good interview with Peter Blake the other day Big friend of Hirst's, said he met Banksy backstage at a gig a few years ago just before he got really famous and was thinking of doing a collaboration. He said Banksy is more famous than him now though so prob wont happen.
