Nick Walker - Car Boot Sale, by kember on Jun 15, 2016 14:03:11 GMT 1, As unfortunate as this is, I'd be patient and await a reply rather than resending emails, artists are often very understanding of issues with prints and are happy to address problems that are outside of the buyers control.
The thing to remember is they probably receive hundreds of emails a week, it might seem like you are being ignored but more often than not it is a matter of process. It may be frustrating but patience and politeness are often the most rewarding course of action.
Failing this I'm sure someone here has a more direct line to Nick that might be able to flag this for you.
Good luck!

Nick Walker - Car Boot Sale, by tab1 on Jun 15, 2016 14:08:21 GMT 1, Hi all, i'm a newbie on here so first of all hello. I haven't been collecting that long but would really like some forum advice. I went to the car boot sale on Sunday and bought a few bits, also one of the hand finished nick walkers. Met Nick, really nice guy. When i got the print home, i noticed where it had been rolled, there was a distinctive line caused either by his assistant rolling it too tight...or the hand finishing wasn't properly dry? The line definitely wasn't there when i chose the print and it was well protected on the day so i'm 100% sure it's nothing to do with my handling. I emailed Nick politely to ask if he'll offer a replacement if i return it, sent him photos etc however he's not replying. Sent two emails now and heard nothing. As mentioned he seems a nice bloke so not sure what to do? Any advice? Anyone had anything like this happen to them?
Comes down to customer service ,probably has lots of emails to filter through after the event so will get back in due course just maybe a little patience needed.
In all fairness you pointed out the print was fine when you chose it and you watched them roll it into a tube so any issues could of been highlighted then? You could of taken it out and re rolled it?
Best case scenario you send it back and you get a replacement

Nick Walker - Car Boot Sale, by rjf76 on Jun 15, 2016 14:09:14 GMT 1, Good advice...give him time to respond and I'm sure you'll be sorted out. Unfortunately, marks/rubbing etc.. go a bit hand in hand with 'live' printing...no less annoying though!

Nick Walker - Car Boot Sale, by BKBOI on Jun 15, 2016 14:18:12 GMT 1, Nick is one of the most gracious artist I have met in person. I am sure you will be sorted out but you have to be patient with him as top tier artists are always busy. I would probably send out a follow up message a week after not getting a response from him. Think that is reasonable. All the best.

Nick Walker - Car Boot Sale, by damo on Jun 15, 2016 17:44:02 GMT 1, Similar question, and apologies for hijacking thread. When I got mine I selected from the van (it was still raining hard) and it was carefully rolled etc. When I got home I noticed that there was actually a small overspray from another print on the right hand side. Wouldn't matter bar mine was hand finished in yellow (which was the one I wanted) and the overspray is orange from another print. Ive been trying decide what to do since Sunday. Its not damaged per se but it clearly wasn't intended and, tbh, its going to bug me if I frame it like that as its clearly unintended. I feel bad complaining re the spirit of the event but, likewise, its still a £200 print. Its it reasonable to drop an email or something I should just live with?
P.s. as above, he seemed a really nice bloke on the day (especially considering he was tying to work in the back of a van at the time).
