Hello,
Any idea how much it would be worth now (considering an upgrade)?

It's about 22''x16'', no background (only the figures are painted).
There's a print edition of this image (two colours, edition of 100 each), plus it was used in this NYP article:

The secondary market for Cleon Peterson originals seems neither sufficiently large nor active enough to offer a valuation you could comfortably rely upon if looking to sell.

Even among the artist's collectors and with auction houses, estimates you may receive for this painting could easily be all over the place.

Your best bet may be to:

(i) liaise with Peterson's primary dealers (e.g. Over The Influence, Library Street Collective, New Image Art, or ALICE Gallery);

(ii) find out what originals of a comparable medium, size, composition and/or subject matter are actually selling for (as opposed to their listed prices); and

(iii) work from those figures.

OTI sells these formats with nicer background at $6500 fyi. So I guess 3-4k is a fair value?

Also re other's comments: an artist's market doesn't need to be "large" to establish secondary value. Picasso's was mostly supported by less than 5 collectors. That's kinda what OTI is aiming for, controlling artists' markets exclusively for the ultra wealthy

Looking for Cleon's "End of Days" to go with my "Will To Power." 411posters.com/2012/07/will-to-power-end-of-days-by-cleon-peterson/

My two favorite prints by him and from a time when his releases weren't so often and/or so cookie-cutter. Love these as they are the only prints he's done that feature a splitfountain gradient. Not to mention their size.

It's unfortunate that the horizon line isn't at the same level in both, as my OCD/anal-retentiveness couldn't handle it. It's why I passed on both originally. Now it turns out my OCD/anal-retentiveness can't handle not having both.
