I want to make my own stickers. Does anyone know where to buy a roll of sticker paper or precut sticker paper for wholesale prices in or around NYC. Any info would be appreciated. Thanx.

"Canal Plastics" on Canal St. every color and type you would ever want. You buy it by the yard for somewhere around $5 per. Here are some stickers I've made.

Im from NYC and Im going to Europe in a week. Where are the best places to sell art on the streets of London and Paris and do you need a license or permit to do so. Any info is appreciated. Thanx.

apply to london council straight away it could take a while to get a licence, if they let you at all

bkhill83 I would say that you have got no chance to legally do this in the UK with one week before you get here.

Forget about selling it, I couldn't even give it away in London without constantly being told to 'move on'. I can understand needing a permit/permission to sell but to give it away? Bloody stupid. This country is so tied up in "ohhh, you can't do that" kind of attitude it forgets to deal with the issues that really matter. I managed to shift loads of pieces but not without a few cross words with the authorities.

Isn't there a weekly art market on Bayswater Road where you can tie your work to the railings? I'm almost sure you need a licence/permit but if I remember rightly it's really popular, so could be worth it. I've also seen people sell things on rugs down Brick Lane, again you probably need a permit, but you could always chance it and plead ignorance if you get collared. Depends how daring you're feeling.

best place would be brick lane / truman brewery on sundays i think !there is outdoor street market which is fairly unlicensed on brick lane , but the indoor truman brewery you would need to rent a space but i am sure you could sell plenty there !

Originally I had about 150 paintings when I reached Spain. Now I have about 70 left.

The images range from Sid Vicious and Nancy, Biggie Smalls, 2Pac, The Ramones, liquor bottles, Jimi Hendrix, Jim Morisson, Andy Warhol and Blondie to Marilyn Monroe, Audrey Hepburn, Billie Holiday and Louis Armstrong etc. Most are on paper. Only about 5 are on canvas. The sizes are 14x22 inches for most.

Prices range from $40 and up.

Have any of you guys been to Art Basel in Switzerland? Its coming up in June.

Im located in Brooklyn NY and Im thinking about going out there with over a 1000 pieces on paper. I would like to get booth space but it seems they only select well known galleries plus the deadline already passed. My other choice would be to get busy on the streets surrounding the area.

Let me know if you guys have seen people selling on the streets out there. If so where at.

Bobby,

No offense, but Art Basel is not the kind of place you just show up and get a booth... it is very high-end and you must be approved/invited to show there.

You might want to check if there are any smaller satellite fairs, but I don't think it is the right place for you.

Its a great fair to visit and see an amazing selection of contemporary art.
