I have found it awful. On behalf of punk - SF is talking of the New-York-Dolls, I like a lot the NYD ( really fan ) and they were not part of the punk movement - or New-Wave ( ?! ) , Shepard made this print.
The lettering in bottom with the ska squares don’t mean anything, the framing is weird ( a lot of blank ) and the face too. Really anecdotic, bad realization, and almost all, I don’t see at all anything pink in it !

I don’t know, anyway it is changing of SF usual «  beautiful » prints , with psychedelic backgrounds or clothes, and geisha visages.. I don’t know why some of us are still collecting obey... A bit always the same thing ..

Are they doing something different with this release? If bots are truly a problem, wont the bots just gobble this up as well?

I’ve generally had good luck with obey releases.

i never had good luck with my computer and obey release.
Always bought them 3x the price on eBay the day after.
Anyway I think that SF is turning in round. I saw this kind of prints and symbols hundred times, the ones with people too.
Does obey will still reign for decades or centuries ?
As some other well-known artists, Obey became a brand. Soul has disappeared.

Lroy the trick I’ve found is to already be logged into PayPal, make sure all the info is updated and correct, and just cart and express checkout as fast as possible. Begin refreshing his store page a couple minutes before the drop. I’ve only struck out once, and actually that was because my PayPal info was screwed up.


I do agree with you somewhat though, not all of his prints are for me. But every so often there’s one that I just have to have. One of my favorites is my HK visual disobedience, it seems pretty unique from a lot of his other stuff.

It's great to hear he is trying to do something about the bots having lost a few prints while checking out 30 seconds into the sale.

I assume they must have canceled a ton of orders to be able to be offering a decent amount from the same 450 edition.

On another note, I saw that the 450 DamagedApp prints they gave away have all been mailed out. Looking forward to getting it framed!

I paid most of my Obey prints 250/350 on eBay ;( And they are cheaper 1 or 2 years later.
My favourite is without context Imperial Glory.
My regret ( too expensive then even on eBay ) , isThe Protester.
I tried to find your favourite HK Obediently but I can’t find it on google ( what is the real title ?

The Protester was about the events in USA and all over the world. It’s more for the meaning Than for the print itself. It even made the Times Magazine cover !

I had one of these and the printing quality is definitely not on par with other Fairey releases. The paper is thicker but the image is kind of pixelated up close. $425 seems like an insane price for these.

I don't know what they changed but the Rose Shackle print was surprisingly easy to score this time. I got my card details rejected and entered card manually, still made it. First time it sold out within maybe 20 seconds (and I assume not the whole run was made available).

I agree with you, this one stayed for some time (eg a few minutes or so?). But then it made me smile when I came to to realise, what a stressful world we live in where we deem a handful of minutes a long time to score a print...

So you're saying that's what cut out the bots? I wonder what part of run was available - legit took me about a minute to check out and it was still available after I completed purchase.
