I see some points here:
- image is not his best
- price higher than usual may have discouraged some collectors
- price also reduced flipping opportunities increasing the risk of a loss

For the rest it is true, it took very long to sold out (if it sold out).

All valid points. I think it is kind of embarrassing for Shep to have something not sold out on release given his status. You're right, because it showed sold out does not mean it actually did. Save face. I doubt we'll see another s**t release at that price anytime soon now.

There have several limited prints which sat for days, weeks or even months on the OBEY site, like BIG PROOF from 2006 (took several years to sell out, probably due to the huge edition of 1,500)


or COMPTON'S MOST WANTED from 2012 which had a typing error and took months to sell out (edition size was also bigger than "normal" with a run of 750).

My bad, I should have said in recent times and since the David Lynch release. I obviously meant small editions, but thanks for pointing that out, Obey is not always synonym to instant sell out. Pun intended.
