That's the worst part, haha! Shep's one of my favorites and I'll definitely try again. Don't know how many more of these I can put up with though. It's just so damn frustrating because it's so easily avoidable. A consistent way to handle screw-ups and refunds needs to be implemented as well. Seems like they just flip a coin to decide whether to refund or skip the late release.

Just said "orders" in the "from name" field. Overlooked it a couple of times because I thought it was a marketing email from Overstock.com.

I got the email about refunds but checking my order on ObeyGiant’s site still says confirmed. Did everyone get the email and only certain order numbers get refunded? How do you know for sure if you got refunded?

Saw a post from someone who said they got refunded. They could have been f*cking around, but it definitely seems like refunds are inevitable at this point.

I really hope they can get things back on track. Shep is one of my favorites and, while I doubt these f-ups will have any real effect on his sales short term if this becomes the norm, I'm not sure how long I'll personally stick it out.

If anyone is wondering about the email Obey team sent, I got it and it goes like this :

"OVERSOLD ALERT"
Dear Customer, The product you ordered this morning was oversold due to a software malfunction within our shopping cart and your order will be refunded today. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Only a limited number of sets were available this morning but we will be releasing both colorways individually between 5 and 6pm PST tonight. You are welcome to try ordering again. We are confident the issue will have already been solved by then.

Thank you for your support and again, we apologize for the inconvenience. We hope to better serve you in the future.

I believe they had a similar issue with the release of Ideal Power and gave people who were oversold priority for the Welcome Visitor diptych.

Don't be so arrogant. The last release of Shep's I participated in was the Jello Biafra print which was back in 2014 and I gave that to my framer as a gift. I currently have no Obey art and although these prints were nice it's not the first time I've been burnt on a release and not the first time this has happened with the Obey site for many people. It just seems like there should be a better system. I might retry in another five years but who knows as this is just a big turn off.

I find it hard to believe it was a "system" problem. Shopify is by far the most stable distributed ecommerce platform. There is even an option something along the lines of, "Allow customers to purchase product when it's out of stock." Whoever was in charge of this release just made a mistake.

More likely than not, we'll all be back next week or whenever the next print we like releases.

I suspect you're correct. Those colors would stay true to Damaged (seeing the show really attracted me to the set) and to the spirit of the set we all missed.

Size of the edition will be interesting.  Wonder how many people actually try for these drops and this might be an indication. Those would be interesting colors as well.
