meaning u tried to get something for cheaper than it was worth, even when u knew fine well
and as for dealing, i mean when u post for stuff for sale, or are trying to buy stuff, it would put me off dealing with some1 i considered untrustworthy

Sorry. Have amended post though took me a couple of attempts. Is that a forename or surname or nickname? A name I'm not familiar with and hence the mis-spelling for which i apologise.

Nick Walker TMA London , by stuey09 on Mar 29, 2008 0:42:44 GMT 1, alsbabar - that's a bit of s**tty trick - trying to con a fellow forum member. Isn't that what you tried to do with that woman with the Banksy Cop Car - telling her it was fake? Shame on you. And IMO whoever it was that paid less than Β£3.5k for SM's TMA got a bit of a bargain! what the f**k are you talking about, i never conned anyone out of anything, supermick knew what he wanted to, as for the woman with the Police Car, i never offered to buy it off her, and here is a piece of fact for you, which you so obviously seem to have forgotten. Was it proven that particular piece was real? I think you find the consensus of opinion proved that it wasn't the same one at Turf Wars. I merely passed on an opinion from someone else!!As for 3.5K, some have sold recently for a lot less then that.
I think my problem with your comment highlighted in red is that you never presented this point as 'an opinion' It was worded as a fact. To quote you, you said
'...so sorry to say babyjane, its not a real banksy'
That is not a statement of opinion, it is a statement of fact. Although I genuinely believe that you had no intention of conning this person, I think you should have been more careful with the way you present your advice.

so stuey, read it right first and post correctly before you join the lynch mob.....you have no need to bring up issues that has no relevance to this thread

Nick Walker TMA London , by alsbabar on Mar 29, 2008 0:52:02 GMT 1, and here is a fact, i never offered to buy this piece off babyjane either, so before you make a fucking stupid comment about conning people, make sure you have facts to support your claim.
By saying I con people is quite insulting, I have never conned anyone in my life for anything.

The point was made within this thread by another forum member, therefore it does hold relevance.
Also the quote 'sorry babyjane, its not a real Banksy' is a statement of fact. I know it and you know it, so let us not pretend otherwise.

You don't have a clue what you are talking about Alsbabar. Until you do, refrain from making comments that you cannot substantiate.
How can you say that I "sold something because I didn't know the value of it"? First of all, I didn't sell it and secondly, I received very good value in the trade.
My second thoughts about the trade related to the fact that I only realized how much I liked the print once it had gone. No problem, I can always buy another copy.

arcam - if you take the time to read the whole thread you will understand why it was picked up on - he has since confirmed that he wasn't joking.
I agree with you that we would not be talking about anyone else's comments though... but only because no one else would make comments of that nature.
