New print by Aaron De La Cruz, by syprux on Nov 7, 2015 9:53:13 GMT 1, We are proud to support Arkitip Alumni and frequent collaborator Aaron De La Cruz's newest exhibition 'Always Something' at Public Functionary in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
San Francisco-based painter Aaron De La Cruz crosses elements of street art and gestural painting with design-minded structure, creating work that is both instinctual and deliberate. In 'Always Something,' De La Cruz continues his ongoing exploration of line and shape with a new body of work for his upcoming show at Public Functionary in Minneapolis. This work includes original paintings, a large-scale mural, a silk screen print, and the debut of a limited edition line of wallpapers produced in conjunction with Public Functionary and artist-designed wallpaper line, Area Environments. The first release in the new PFxAE Exhibition Collection, De La Cruz's wallpaper will be installed as the backdrop to the exhibit, creating a layered, pattern-rich viewing experience.
To celebrate and compliment the exhibition Arkitip has produced a new 24 x 36 In. hand pulled silk screen print of the artist's work exclusively for the opening. We turned an original work that the artist created on paper into a beautiful large scale silk screen print. Each print is hand signed and numbered by the artist.

New print by Aaron De La Cruz
"I pushed myself to try a new process with โLetโs Talkโ.
I started by selecting 23 individual forms that are signature in my work and had them produced out of acrylic. I then created the composition within a 12x12โ frame. From there, the same piece was used as the printing plate to produce the prints. Each print comes with two out of the 23 forms created for the printing plate. They represent the conversation that fills the negative space, the dialogue between you and I."

New print by Aaron De La Cruz, by Tobi187 on Jul 30, 2021 19:57:43 GMT 1, lol he removed all the posts that were mentioning presales... $400 ? too much. I really like the print... but 400 USD plus 60 USD shipping for such a small piece in an edition of 175? I was expecting 250 USD or something similar when he announced the drop. Just bought too much recently and will skip this one.
