Roseberys Auctions of London π¬π§ , by cemltz on Mar 5, 2024 18:09:44 GMT 1, Nobody (Rosebery's or Artsy) was willing to provide detailed condition reports on the prints. Everything super vague: "Good condition. Float mounted, lightly taped to backing board."
Come on. It's a $20K print. Put some effort in to it.

I know, and correctly so. Just amazed how some people pay thousands for some sh8 instead of saving for a little while to buy a proper piece of art for just 10 times that money !

Roseberys Auctions of London π¬π§ , by cemltz on Mar 5, 2024 18:40:55 GMT 1, Whoever didn't let their Kaws "Presenting the Past" go at Β£9,500 hammer probably should have taken the opportunity...I bought mine at public auction for less than that in late 2021...market has not gone up since then...
As shown by the lack of interest in "You Should Know I Know" at Β£7,000. Those things used to sell at Β£20K+...I thought I did well buying one for Β£7,500 six months ago...

Roseberys Auctions of London π¬π§ , by aron on Mar 5, 2024 21:51:05 GMT 1, Does anyone have the result for the Ai Weiwei Cedar (I) sculpture please? Hammer price was 1.2k Β£ so should be 1574Β£ incl fees. Great price for the buyer. Another one sold at chiswyck auctions a couple days ago for 3k Β£ incl. buyers premium.
I hope all the flippers get burnt so they finally stop buying art for speculation and flipping for 1.5x. These small editions would be impossible to get on secondary if they would end up in the hands of collectors.

Roseberys Auctions of London π¬π§ , by cemltz on Mar 6, 2024 17:25:10 GMT 1, Anyone willing to part with their KAWS YSKIK or PTP for what the buyer wouldβve netted in this auction, please reach out! As a gallery, I suspect you mean what the "seller" would have netted, not the "buyer".
And since neither piece transacted, what you are actually saying is "If anyone is willing to sell for less than the two folks yesterday were not willing to sell for, hit me up."
As with all of us, you might have a couple pieces of inventory to mark down...

Roseberys Auctions of London π¬π§ , by Archives Gallery on Mar 6, 2024 17:49:47 GMT 1, Appreciate you checking the site out! Agreed, some of the older inventory may indeed need to be updated far as pricing goes, but its all art that we do not mind having sit for even a few years. In it for the long run. And if some of these artists never recover, atleast the art is still enjoyable to look at
But yes, you are correct - we meant what the seller wouldβve netted. Some quick research around last sales on those two editions would show you that thats about where markets at with them anyways. We donβt mind waiting until the next auction to acquire, would just rather avoid all those fees if at all possible / cash out a forum member vs some random seller
