This has been a favourite of mine for a long time. It will stay a favourite if I don't get an offer in the region of the price you remarked on as well. It's worth what someone is willing to pay for it, but also what the owner is willing to let it go for 😉 $6k I agree may be reaching, but I'm not no way going to 3. |

I am not saying they are readily available, but when stuff like this comes up it always starts at $4500, drops to $3250 and then lingers. I think Slipry had a Finster on here, a few months back and it was down to $2800. I have also bought a few pieces/prints from members on here - similar year, style, etc for $2200-3000. Not trying to crush your sale; originally you asked for a price check. The only reason I come here is for Bast. I am always looking for stencil stuff and Paris. |

I haven't put it up for sale yet either, but opinions have been asked for and welcomed... Judging from the responses this is a tough one. Genuinely I'd pay $3.5k plus for this all day long, it's pretty much a small edition original, totally hand done and the imagery is some of his best. I'll happily keep this in my collection and look to shift something else if my expectations are too high. Thanks all.

...and that's why I'm not surprised that they don't come to auction. Most are tightly held by genuine collectors. Bast works are among my favorites and are a value buy because the market is not manipulated or overheated. Quick buck chasers stay away and that's ok with me.

I think $2k to $2.25k is a fair price as both a seller and buyer for the Dr. Strangelove.

Sold only to a local member for $800ish last year if that helps. Very regrettable sale, its one of his best images and not as cluttered as the collages. Hold onto it!
