Banksy Artwork, VALUATION, by aki on Mar 19, 2020 14:14:03 GMT 1, Help please... I am considering selling my signed Soupcan (yellow/emerald/sky blue), and / or unsigned Barcode. Both with Pest Control CoA, both unframed, both mint condition. Obviously seen the various auction results over last couple of years, but would be keen to get an idea of what I should be asking a gallery for. Any guidance appreciated.
Barcode as of last week were about 20k bit more in the galleries. Hope that helps

Banksy Artwork, VALUATION, by singerstu on Mar 19, 2020 17:18:16 GMT 1, Curious where people think the Banksy originals on Canvases are, not many pass-through the auctions to track them. Not the Big unique pieces but the 1s from editions of 15 or 25 in size 50cm x 50cm ish - most of the iconic images have been produced this way. Cheers. Its quite image specific but anything from £150,000 + however there are some silly ones such as the postage stamp size monkey that sold for close to half a million pounds

Do you mean the fairly recent “The Art of Banksy” exhibitions? Those are not authorized by Banksy and real Banksy prints were not sold during or after them. If that is the case then this would be a poster copy of “Monkey Queen” print from 2003, but given its an unauthorized copy I don’t think it would be worth much more than any other poster you can order

How much is the maximum price for a print of a print. Best regards Peter It’s a decorative piece so worth very little, it’s not even the same dims as the original print so likely a poor quality offset replica. You are better off buying one of West Country Prince versions if you like the image which are pretty good replicas and not expensive.

Banksy Artwork, VALUATION, by sirarthur on Apr 1, 2020 15:51:19 GMT 1, It would depend on how motivated the buyer was and their level of funds available. You would think once photos of the delivered Thrower Triptych start to surface, there may be some crazy numbers floating around but I would be thinking few will be offered for sale. Seems the Banksquiat value already bouncing around at 40k however it's only heresay. It's a bloody nice piece TBH. The value to me of my Banksys when I look at them outweighs the figure on a piece of paper or website. Is it about how much the are worth in money, or how much they are worth to the owner in enjoyment value. Only the person with it hanging up can tell you this. My idea for the prints is 70-80 KEuro for the Thrower and 40-50 KEuro for the Basquait ,based on dimensions, numbers of edition and latest quotations on Christies and few others auction houses sites It seems that all the numbered editions are below 100K, and for that less more you can get an original piece. Private gallery sites do not show prices without paying registration, but the few I found confirmed what above.
Banksy Banksquiat print have big dimensions, signature, reference to Basquiat. It will easily fetch over 80,000£ in auctions after PC COA is being released

Because being more limited instantly makes it more expensive?
Unsigned GWRB Ed 600 vs signed Happy Chopper Ed 150
Could go on for years

and for me it is 1) the met ball helmet 2) welcome mat 3) banksquiat print

Helmet and mat are beutiful and interesting idea, but prints is what collectors desire most. Banksquiat print will surely have the highest price of them all.

Banksy Artwork, VALUATION, by JockoLad on Apr 11, 2020 9:46:00 GMT 1, If I were to offer Flags for sale on the forum, what should I expect to be receive for it? I am asking because I feel the price fluctuates a fair bit. Also, I have always believed (hoped) that this will become one of the more valuable prints given the likelihood that so many have wound up being damaged beyond repair.
This is hypothetical, I am not looking to sell just now. I have been the registered owner with POW since original purchase although have never bothered getting a COA. It is framed and has been since I bought it. No damage that I am aware of.

I sold one for £8.2k recently privately and I believe one hammered for £9k at Sotheby’s and another at £7k at Tate Ward. To get best value get your Pest in hand, unframe it and check the condition and then probably consign to auction or assuming it’s in good condition if you get an offer over £8k privately you should take it.

Thanks for that. I feel your pain as I have been on the receiving end of a fair amount of abuse over the years on here when trying to sell things. It’s reassuring to hear that the demand for the print appears to be increasing. As I said earlier, I’ve always felt it has been under appreciated.

Banksy Artwork, VALUATION, by LJCal on Apr 11, 2020 11:34:36 GMT 1, To be honest you may get a load of abuse and snide comments selling on the forum but unlikely best value. Yeah it’s seen a pretty big appreciation like most of his prints. Hope your sale goes well and I’d put in for your pest sooner rather than later as it takes time, it’s good to have even if you don’t want to sell immediately.
