Do they really need to be hidden behind glass. I can't help feeling some of that shine might get lost if it's covered. They can be floated with no glass surely? The gloss will offer the prints more protection against splashes (sneezes  ) than if it were just matt or lightly glazed.

Museum glass or plexi works fine just fine when it comes to letting the gloss shine through

Just not sure of framing...it's real bright, will it be effected by uv if away from light, or will glass kill it? Any one have tried? |

Thinking I will have a for sale thread soon... Not for these prints I might add.... You will need a seriously big wall to frame all these together - would love to see some pics of them altogether Should land on Wed, but wont get them out until sat when I have time to sort them out...

Just saw this also through global art traders email and was curious what they were asking as it said poa. I originally thought poa would mean they'd got a canvas. But it's a print. They've got a grey too. Both of which didn't seem to sell out at the gallery. Wonder what they'd charge for blue and orange which were the most popular.

Their prices can be outrageous which is why it is wise to shop around and also seek out advice from different forums and their members. The best thing about some galleries is when they have an exclusive with, or a commission from an artist and price it fairly. Case in point is Nelly Duff Gallery and their Dan Hillier commission "Pachamama" gold leaf edition which is stunning at what I think is fairly reasonable price for a gallery. blm (forum member) posted it here last week and I was very impressed so I picked one up. I later found out that the black and white print is sold out. However, I think the gold leaf edition is much better. I promise you all that this is not hype, just what I think is a hot tip on a stunning piece. |
