Also, they have confirmed that they still do not deal with unsigned prints despite the fact that the Rude Copper is most definitely unsigned. Is there a new boy in charge by any chance?
I'm not too sure, I spoke to Gareth about putting in a few lots.

It's up to the recipient to do what the f**k they want with it. If they want to sell it five years later and get some money for it then great. If it is a genuine print I think it's pretty out of order to be honest to not issue a COA.
but it's not editioned, there are clear structures to how these things are released from signed/unsigned/AP's etc - a gift is worth far less than the cheapest editioned print IMO as it not counted as part of the release.

Is the person in charge of this auction seriously qualified enough to deal with it?
No COA and a highly questionable signature is going to get them some massive negative feedback when the eventual buyer kicks off about it.
Also, still officially not accepting unsigned Banksys according to a direct email I received from them although the Rude Copper is unsigned.
What are/aren't the rules?
They also tried to charge me for 4% Artist Resale rights not too long ago for an artist who's been dead for 20 years but that's a different story.

I contacted them about it and they emailed me back to confirm there is no certificate (even though the description might say there is) and it will be up to the buyer to contact Pest Control and sort one out after the auction.

He went to specific lengths in my email in his own words to point out there is no coa and that there had also been an initial catalogue mistake which didn't specify AR was payable and had to be corrected.
Either way I'm not too fussed as I'm not liking that signature one little bit.

It's interesting on the signature front, if someone was going to forge Banksy's signature they'd try to do a better job than that surely.
