i clicked on them earlier, at the same time as refreshing an eBay page, accidentally refreshed the aucsab page and it said i was buying them. I clicked end transaction to get out, and they were gone, is this a glitch in the dynamics of the site? or had you noticed they were dodgy before hand?

In 2 minds to buysome Banksy tenners.

1st. What is the going rate for these at the moment.

Stay well clear unless they are in a big print sized sheet with a POW stamp on the bottom.

I would question the authenticity of most on ebay as these are very simple to make fakes of!

My first ever Banksy purchase 2 x these tenners from the 'profpixel' who gets everywhere and changes his name now and then on ebay. Wasn't reading the board at the time so bought them and then read the warnings! whoops...

However real or fake, they look very good shown as a pair in one of those muji clear frames (can post the pic if anyone wants), and surely that is the main thing! (unless I want to sell them and then it all gets complicated)

Not sure how you would get provenance, especially for the notting hill carnival ones (other than the faint smell of wee as mentioned in an old thread).

As for the Notting Hill notes I would not buy these, as they are more than likely fakes.

Not ment in a bad way mat, how much did you spend? as if they were fake, it may have been a heck of alot of money for 2 photocoppies.
They may look good, but I saw some going from the same seller for £200+, which to me personally, is too much for something which is most likely fake.
As Ronhill said, they are best to steer clear from unless they are from someone with a good rep and a decent history ( apart from the ones that were bought and come with receipts, these are virtually un provable by the general buying public).
Just my take on it and realise others have their own opionions on this type of thing.

Im due to meet up this week with the seller and 'view before I buy' hence asking for any defo signs their real.
He claims their 100% genuine and came from santas ghetto 2004 (would these have been given out or purchased?)

have come to terms with the potential authenticity (or lack of) one of those you live and learn type experiences... since I'd pay that for a picture that I liked, that I would never be able to resell... just don't plan to repeat the experience

Ouch but cool fella, not good when it happens and sadly a mistake we all make at some point in some way shape or form... at least you like the images so its not so bad, quite sure there were a few who bought from him for investment purposes, and that'll really smart.

I had POW look at mine (bought off ebay for sensible money the week after SG04) and compared it to one they had knocking about (it was early 05)... like everyone says... its way to easy to fake these... shame really as they frame up nice with a real £10 note...

As it is common knowledge these days Banksy Tenners are almost impossible to verify unless bought directly from Laz. What do you guys make of this one sig looks pretty legit although doesn't have a year on the end which could be fine but has anyone heard of Banksy just mailing these out? He has a envelope from Laz and its bid up to over 3k seems a little steep... input?
