I've never seen it used, but apparently QFP is a thing, which stands for the more appropriate phrase "quoted for posterity". hello ! QFT

I always thought it meant "queueing for truffles".

Banksy £10 • Di-Faced Tenner, by macdegger on May 31, 2017 2:17:00 GMT 1, Well,s**t.
I bought one from 8450martino the other week. I'd gone to a Bansky/Dali exhibition (now ain't that a cool mix!?) and saw one there. I just got it the other day. And only then did stupid me start thinking: 'well, maybe it could be fake?'. Which led me here to this thread. The pics posted told the story ... as well as the bloody username
So I'm seconding assneck's question ... although I'm afraid the wierd phrasing in the salespitch makes me think I don't stand a chance. The wording talks about a repro tenner and anyone would at first glance think that that refers to the fact that the Banksy tenner is repro, of course. But it could equally apply to the item sent: it being a repro of a Banksy tenner Just like people selling an Xbox box or a picture of a ps4.
I feel just a bit screwed having been dumb enough to buy a fake

Banksy £10 • Di-Faced Tenner, by dmc1983 on Jun 3, 2017 12:12:47 GMT 1, I was looking through eBay the other day and came across a banksy Di-Tenner and look who is selling it littlelegs269. I sent him a message saying I was interested but worried in case it wasn't real here is what he replied with JK Rowling couldn't write this.
Hi,
Thanks for your message, you have every reason to be concerned, I too would be sceptical buying from eBay, and no I cannot offer any provenance for these Banksy tenner’s, neither can anyone else, let me try explain why.
On leave almost ten years ago in London at a friend’s house who suggested going to the carnival for the day, traffic was a nightmare we nearly give up.
We stumble into the procession of floats and went with the flow for almost 2-3 hours soaking up the atmosphere, then we heard some noise in front of us, thinking it was trouble we took a look (silly thing to do) this guy and women was throwing things into the crowd loads of people were catching paper, me and my mate did the same thing, both grabbing a big hand full each, when they were thrown gravity must have played a part because they were stuck together.
Thinking it was real money we were besides our self, then we realised they were fake money.
After that I did some searching on google and found myself becoming embroiled in all the myth surrounding Banksy, so over the years I have been a pain in the arse of my wife has I have bought countless pieces of street art especially Banksy, I have bought more over the years, and sold them all over the world I have also got signed Banksy tenner’s, signed envelopes, and my treasure is a full uncut sheet of Banksy tenner’s which is signed, this was one of the first tested plates trailing the print run, the one I have the plates are slightly out of alignment, this makes it fantastically rare has the trial run only produced 34 test sheets which Banksy signed half for the production team.
I now owned a small gallery on the outskirts of Salisbury, Wiltshire, I retire from the army in the next few months so that is where I will be retiring too.
Regards. M.

Banksy £10 • Di-Faced Tenner, by macdegger on Jun 5, 2017 22:16:46 GMT 1, Yeah, I got that on an A4 along with my fake note. In one of those script fonts which looks worse than Comic Sans, to add insult to injury.

Banksy £10 • Di-Faced Tenner, by iamthatguy on Jun 5, 2017 22:35:49 GMT 1, Well apparently I should have come here first. The Champs ID got me too. Same silly letter with bad grammar and spelling. I trusted eBay feedback along with the seller having items from one or two of Banksy's gallery shows. Oh well. I'm only out $50. I wanted a pair to frame. Wasn't looking at it as an investment etc. Glad I was not looking to buy one of the signed ones he or she was selling. I figured with there having been 100,000 printed that the price being lower made sense. Oops.
Still hope one to own a real one at some point.
Too bad bad there's not a way to buy direct from Banksy. One can dream, right?

Banksy £10 • Di-Faced Tenner, by macdegger on Jun 10, 2017 23:25:13 GMT 1, 's Kinda the point, though, isn't it? See it on the street, like it, buy something from a popup store you like which turns out to be a real one. It never was something which meant a new piece on a wall would actually mean it was economical to buy the fucking building and tear the piece down.
And, to be honest, something about the irony of paying money to end up with a fake of a 'fake object' like the Di Faced tenner makes me grin. I just wish I hadn't spent so much money on the fake

Thanks for the extra info. The more names/aliases we have, the more likely someone can find it on a google and the less chance (s)he has of selling something.
