But I still don't know, the man selling it told me that he got it at santa 's ghetto. I believe the counterfeiters scanned from a full Banksy tenner sheet, so the size and dimensions are going to be 1:1. The correct weight of paper shouldn't be too difficult to find either. I'm just a bit jaded from my recent eBay experience of trying to find a real tenner and this thread should hopefully help others looking for a genuine Di-tenner. I don't believe price is an indicator, as sellers of fakes I contacted had also listed for quite a lot because they understand the psychology of people associating the cost with authenticity. I think the best way at this point to determine authenticity is to look at your tenner through a magnifying glass and see if it's got the same grain as the pictures I posted above and in further detail here:  This cannot yet be reproduced with today's scanning and printing technology.

Its called the Moiré pattern or moire effect, happens when a print is copied or scanned. As you've said, the best way to tell is under a loop, compare PC copy to other. |

Pest control dont even authenticate the notes, they use them as part of the authentication process.

A4A He may be the expert of the sale, but as mentioned above, he is no expert! Pest control dont even authenticate the notes, they use them as part of the authentication process. |

i think that the sticker is in the plexi, not on the note. Why the auction house did they copy pow rat ? Maybe to give more credibility to this auction, as a cherry on the cake. They are lyers anyway ( why should gallerists/auction house would not lie after all ? ) , every Banksy collector knows that Pest Control

it was offered by a local auctioneer, named Gallé BVBA (Belgium). They don't seem to have an online platform for internet bidding and do their sales on different locations in Belgium only. (Once a year in my neighborhood.) I don't think they have their own Auction House.
Although having originals of Alechinsky, Corneille, Appel, Raveel, Panamarenko for sale, this seemed a nice auction, but this kind of practices kept me away from the sale.

What's the auction estimate for it? None of the artworks got an estimate. There is also no starting bid...Mr Hammer launches a random starting price comparable to what he feels reasonable and evaluates the sentiment in the room to lower if necessary. Every lot goes to the highest bidder. A4A |

I bought one about 3 years ago from him and got the same letter! lol. I knew it was fake before I bought it, however I wanted to compare it to the real ones I have, so for that reason it was worth £15 to see the difference. Get your money back if i was you!
