Banksy £10 • Di-Faced Tenner, by craigf on Oct 25, 2011 18:35:46 GMT 1, I'd just get a cheap copy off ebay, pretty much impossible to tell the difference between a good first generation copy and a real one so don't get suckered into paying a lot unless you are 100% sure that the seller is genuine (and even then work on the basis it might be a copy and its not possible to prove otherwise!)

My wife and I actually met while watching "Exit Through The Gift Shop" at a local art house theater, and with our anniversary coming up, I wanted to do something fun as a gift for her.
With us just closing on a house, I know I can't afford any major piece from Banksy, but I was wondering if anyone may have one of his "Di-Faced Tenners" that they would be willing to part with. It can even be a fake, I just thought it would be a great gift idea (1st wedding anniversary is "paper"  )
if anyone does have one they'd be willing to sell, or if someone knows how I could obtain one, I'd really appreciate it.

I've come to own perhaps some of the best art out, the Di-faced Tenners. I came across Banksy's work on holiday in Israel- totally amazing! Left me inspired and in love lol.
Basically, after seeing the work there, I had to go out and find his work which I could own and proudly display. I came across many eBayers flogging "original Banksy Tenners" etc from £80 to £600  seriously who would buy art off eBay  Lol
Well a couple years later I was in Berlin, Germany. Long story short, Wilde-Gallery in Berlin they're all about urban art (if your ever in Berlin, it's a must). On display, a signed and unsigned Di-faced Tenner ;D   !! I had to have it. I paid quite a fair bit for them. I had the money at the time and being euros, which look like monopoly money anyway, I didn't think twice.
3years on and I need the money. I've recently been made redundant, I'm having to move out of my London flat as the costs exceed my income, I've sold my baby car to fund rent and now it's either my art or I leave for some council estate...  the way I see it, it's bound to get stolen in a council estate anyway sooo here I am...on this site which I can barely work  if anyones interested, e-mail me please: msk_jatt@hotmail.co.uk or message me on here if that's possible...no idea.
They're never going on eBay. I'm not desperate for a sale and I'd quite happily keep them so please no silly offers.

From experience, so far so good. I've got about 40k worth in a lock-up in Tottenham, which after the riots I was shocked it was still standing. SAFE AS 'ARZES, as you mockney cockney rejects say.
I'd personally would be more worried about my coked up, wannabe yuppie next door neighbours stealing or damaging my art.
